About Ken Laudenslager

We wanted a vacation home where our family could continue to gather in the years ahead as our children grow and start their own families.

Ken Laudenslager purchased this house in 2014

Why Ken Laudenslager chose New York

We love the Finger Lakes area of New York. We have been coming to this area for 14 years on vacation and decided last year to purchase our own vacation home in the area. There is so much to do, and the area is an outdoor lover's paradise. From swimming to boating to fishing, there are endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. There is so much to do, and the area is an outdoor lover's paradise. From swimming to boating to fishing, there are endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Being right on the lake affords the opportunities for relaxing views and water sports just steps away from the house.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw the unobstructed water views from the living room. Looking out over the lake relaxes you the moment you walk in the door. You feel your cares melt away, and you just feel like you are on vacation.

Beautiful and well maintained home with all the comforter of home and then some.

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful, with amazing views of Honeyoe Lake. It is quite large, well maintained and very comfortable. As a family of four plus grandma, we never felt we were in each others way.

They provide a nice selection of children's and family DVDs. You may want to bring some grown up movies for after the kids go to bed or if you have an older group.

We are already looking at the calendar to see when we want to return.

Wondderfully tranquil

  • 5 of 5

We loved our four night stay, though it rained almost the entire time. We watched the anther and saw rain, so we brought our Coleman camping canopy and placed it by th firepit, where we watched and listened to the rain dance on the lake. When it was too cool, we moved inside and arched from a wall of windows overlooking the lake and mountainside. The house was incredibly stocked, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies....and the mattresses were delightfully comfortable. We enjoyed a little rain free time on the lake in the canoe and tried our hand at fishing, but caught only several small fish we ended throwing back in to the lake. We would totally revisit Ken's house and recommend to all, especially those with children, as the living room is spacious for game playing. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Overall Great Place and Experience

  • 5 of 5

This place was great! Exactly as described and very clean and spacious. Would be absolutely perfect for a large group. Had everything you could ask for in a getaway. The only con, as someone else mentioned, is the water right off the property is not very swim friendly, but there isn't much that can be done... and there are spots that are a close drive for swimming.

There is a business section less than 10 minutes drive with a grocery store, some restaurants, dollar general, gas stations, and a wine & liquor store.

Ken and Leslie made everything so easy and responded very quickly to any questions that we had.

To add: Highly, HIGHLY recommend...

Food: Mill Creek Cafe (Great food & they have ice cream!)

Beer: Noble Shepard Brewery (Cool little spot, good beer, Thai food on Fridays)

To Do: Grimes Glen (Amazing little hike ~1mile, medium/easy difficulty, two waterfalls. Have hiking water shoes, you do walk through the creek at times)

All three are within 15 minutes drive.

All and all, great stay. We have already recommended to friends and family.

Thanks for everything, Ken and Leslie.

-Michael & Lyndsey

Wonderful Cottage/Home on Honeoye Lake

  • 5 of 5

Great accommodations with plenty of room for dinning, relaxing & sleeping. It's like home away from home with all front view of picturesque Honeoye Lake. Fishing was great!! Thanks Ken for another great stay at your place. Glad we could book it again for next year. Jim
