This location in Treasure Island, provides you with the best of both worlds. If you wish to just get away and relax, you can sit and watch dolphin, manatee, blue heron, snowy egrets and the like come right up your condo. There are boaters, water skiers, kayakers and paddler boarders gliding by from time to time. You need not go anywhere or do anything to have a great time.
However, if you are more active, Treasure Island is the place to be. The beach on the Gulf of Mexico (within walking distance) hosts the annual Sanding Ovations, a world class challenge for professional sand castle designers, and the annual Battle of the Bands. A Kite competition brings some of the largest, brightest and most creative kites I have ever seen. Restaurants with fare from pizza (Gigi's) to high class dinning (The Pearl) are a stroll away. You can walk to Sloppy Joe's (one here like the one in Key West) to watch the Gulf, eat fresh seafood, have a drink and be entertained.
