About The Owner

Chuck and Connie are both from Michigan and recently retired, Chuck as a college administrator and Connie as a help desk manager. They enjoy activities with their sons' families, especially their five grandkids. Since retiring, they enjoy traveling, taking in many of the Civil War sesquicentennial events. They like to stop over at the cabin whenever possible to relax.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2003

Why The Owner chose Sevierville

Connie's family was originally split between Florida and Michigan, and the Gatlinburg area was an ideal location for the family to reunite. Eventually three of the families purchased cabins so they could enjoy the area more regularly.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin has the advantages of both worlds. On one hand, you can get away from the stress and busyness of everyday life with the secluded wooded setting in the mountains. On the other hand, you are only a half-hour away from major tourist attractions: Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollyworld, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, and a variety of activities and shopping in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Our stay at Enchanted Evening was absolutely wonderful. We truly couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon! The cabin was so clean and had that special touch to make us feel right at home. Staying at this humble abode was the perfect start of our marriage! We made "enchanted" memories and can't wait to come back for our anniversary! Thanks so much for the hospitality and allowing us to make cherished memories!

We absolutely loved our stay at Enchanted Evening - everything was as described and pictured. Cabin was very quiet and private, which is exactly what we were looking for on our getaway! We plan to return sometime this fall and stay here again, if it is available!!

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this mountain retreat. We chose the secluded location intentionally and we were not disappointed. We will return to this cabin without reservation.

If one only looks at the entrance to Enchanted Evening you may think meh. Walk inside and see the layout especially the fireplace and smile begins to broaden. Look out the french doors and see the hot tub---oh boy. Then the view off the deck to the mountains and you want to dance. My wife and I fell in love with the Smokies on our honeymoon 2 years ago. We stayed in a cabin then and again last year. Those two previous cabins can't hold a candle to this one. We're already planning next anniversary at Enchanted Evening. WOW!!!

Truly Enchanting!

Our entire week's stay was absolutely wonderful! We felt very comfortable; the views are amazing; and with an outdoor hot tub AND a rec room was fantastic! Thank you so much for the "home away from home" experience... :)

Peaceful and Quiet

  • 4 of 5

We had perfect weather.......83 degrees and no humidity. The house was clean. The linens could use a definite upgrade. Sheets really thin. Towels smelled musty, but threw them in the laundry and that helped. Could use some Windex and paper towels for quick counter cleanups. Because the weather was so gorgeous, it would have been nice to open windows but there were no screens. The hot tub was clean and warm. We loved having cocktails on the deck and listening to the scurrying of the squirrels . Sofa was very comfortable. We truly had a relaxing and restful four days after the visiting Nashville.
