Beautiful house. Perfect setting, furnishings and the holiday deco was the icing on the cake. We could not ask for anything more. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful home. we loved it.

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful. It had so many amenities and the owner was in touch with us when we needed to talk to him. He even left Halloween candy to give out!!! Who does that? Rob does that. Our favorite was the Pequot museum. It was so much fun and very restful. Rob put a lot of care into making his home comfortable for guests. We will certainly recommend it to our mates in Australia. Thanks again. Loved it.

An Ideal House and Home Base

  • 5 of 5

This house ranks among one of my favorites that my spouse and I have rented over the past dozen years or so. It's beautifully decorated and furnished with so many thoughtful touches, right down to things like a salad spinner and convenient night lights. It was clean, comfortable, and made the perfect base for our day trips around Connecticut and Rhode Island. The neighborhood was also great--quiet and serene, but with a Dunkin Donuts at the end of the street to pick up a morning coffee to go. I'm a fairly speedy walker and it only took me about 15 minutes to walk into Mystic to the vicinity of the drawbridge. Oh, and just around the corner in the opposite direction, was the Big Y supermarket--only a 2-minute drive away. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable time and a wonderful houise to make our own for the week.

Wonderful as always

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed at property several times, and as always, it was wonderful. Impeccably clean and inviting, this lovely little home has everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Within walking distance of downtown, the location is great. But if you want to just kick back and relax at home, the house has a lovely deck and beautiful backyard. I would absolutely recommend this property and I'm sure I will return soon.

Charming and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My husband and two children stayed here for 4 nights. The home and property are very well-maintained, clean, stocked with all the necessities and more, and decorated in neutral and attractive colors that instill a sense of calm and relaxation. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bedding is high quality. The main bathroom has a spacious built-in cabinet that makes it convenient to place toiletries, etc., and the shower water pressure was perfect. We also used the washer and dryer which came in handy. We walked to Sea Swirl a couple of times for dinner and to the wine/liquor store. The location is a little far with two younger children to walk to downtown Mystic, but it's only a 5 minute drive, and also very close to Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium. I would give a rating of "4.5" if I could because of two reasons: 1) I was not provided with check-in directions prior to arrival even though I sent a message via the website to the property manager the day before. About 3 hours before arriving at the property, I tried contacting the property manager without success and then contacted HomeAway customer support. Eventually HomeAway customer support was able to e-mail me the check-in directions, but this process caused undue stress. 2) Two of the three bedrooms had A/C window units which worked very well; however, the one without a window unit was too hot in the afternoon and during the night. Would recommend placing a window unit in that bedroom as well. Regardless, we would definitely stay here again as it only made our vacation experience that much better once we received the check-in directions, and perhaps this communication issue was an unusual oversight by the property manager.

Beautiful home and wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

The property was very well maintained and nicely decorated -very comfortable! The location was excellent, as it was very easy to walk into town and sample some wonderful restaurants. We were met with a personalized welcome letter and basket, introducing us to the area, and both the owner and manager were very responsive when asked questions prior to our stay. We had a wonderful stay!

Set sail on the Mystic river with local sailing tours or even your own boat, kayak, or paddle board. You will more than likely get a chance to see Mystic's Historic Drawbridge, which runs through the center of town, in action, letting the boats pass underneath. Walk over the bridge to stop at Mystic Pizza, inspiration and setting to the movie of the same name. Take a stroll through Old Mystick Village, shopping at local vendors and eating the fresh cuisine. While you are down there, bring your family to enjoy a day at the Mystic Aquarium and wave hello to the beluga whales. And when you think there couldn't possibly be any more activities in such a quaint town, head over to the Mystic Seaport. There you will find an 1876 reproduction village, historic vessels, live demonstrations, and indoor exhibits. May we remind you this is all within a mile? Come experience the scenic town of Mystic like a local and let us host your stay.
