Vine Street Studios!

Bedrooms 5
Space 1,000 sq ft
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

In a New York Style

Taking its cue from the post-industrial chic look championed by the loft apartments of downtown New York, the accommodation at Vine Street Studios is designed with three things in mind: the creation of a space that is as versatile as it is comfortable; the use of finishes, furnishings and fittings that surprise, inspire and delight; the notion that weekend accommodation can – and should – look and feel just like a beautifully designed home. It includes a huge living space, 4 sleeping rooms and a self-contained annex.

Cutting Edge Space

Accessed by its own private front door from the street, and situated on the first floor, the living space at Vine Street Studios consists of an enormous lounge, a kitchen, shower and cloakroom. Open plan and characterised by exposed steel beams, oak floors, large Crittall style windows and by walls either clad in oak panels or finished in raw white plaster, the 1000 sq ft space includes a floating staircase, designer furniture, bespoke storage, a huge flat screen television and a selection of limited edition photographic prints and art work. Beautifully lit, relaxed and very cool, it’s an extraordinary space, its penchant for cutting edge design epitomised by the attached shower and wash room, a state-of-the-art fibreglass shell, and by its kitchen area, the unit’s oxidised metal sheeting superbly judged.

Italian Sleep

Equally fine, situated on the top floor, off a naturally lit corridor, and accessed by way of the above mentioned floating staircase, the bedrooms run the length of the building. There are 3 standard sized rooms and one master bedroom. Each room contains a double bed/twin, storage and fittings. One of the standard rooms and the master bedroom includes an open plan steel bath. The bedrooms’ simple and restrained beauty is perfectly complimented by raw white plaster walls, the overall feel wonderfully Italian.

Bits and Pieces

Please note that Vine Street Studios’ annex comes with its own kitchen and en suite shower room. The property can comfortably accommodate groups of 10. In the event of a larger group booking, memory foam guest beds and sofa beds will allow for up to 16 guests. Finally, please be advised that the ground floor is run as an authentic Italian food and drink venue and a bike shop.

Not as good as it looks

If you need privacy, beware - you won't read anywhere online that 2 of the rooms are accessed by walking through another bedroom which is partitioned off with a curtain! Layout is like a dormitory with lots of slamming fire doors and the whole place was absolutely baking hot.

Owner's Response: Hi Lindy, I’m sorry you were less than happy. We do usually have extensive dialogue with guests about the suitability of the accommodation for them and indeed this was the case you as evidenced by the recorded between us: ...vine street studios and put that into google and it will be there and under loft apartment you can see floor plans. The apartment is very much an open plan living space both upstairs and down. Whilst the first two bedrooms are separate you need to walk through the third bedroom to get to the fourth and the staircase down to the studio bedroom. there are curtains to separate. But the apartment lends itself to 'all living together'. Other than that, I’m very sorry it was so hot. We’ve decided to buy some top of the range Dyson fans in case there are more heatwaves. Many thanks James

Fantastic location with plenty of space for all the guests!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at vine street! Kitchen was well equipped and we found everything we needed very easily! Only piece of advice to pass on to future attendees is regarding the key pad for entry, it took us a while to work out how to get this to work but we soon realised that tapping it/ covering the screen with a flat palm woke the keypad up ready for the code to then be input.

Communication from owners was great and deposit was returned very promptly! We will be back ! Thankyou!

Beautiful spacious accommodation in the heart of Brighton.

  • 5 of 5

We booked Vine Street studio to celebrate our Son's 21st birthday.

We all loved every minute of our stay and everything we needed had been thought of, leaving us able to relax and enjoy our stay.

Vine Street studios is located down a quiet street so would advise against this property if you were going to be on the rowdy side!

Thank you for having us ... we're already planning our next trip!

Great location, fantastic open lounge / kitchen for socialising.

  • 4 of 5

We all really enjoyed staying at Vine Street. It's a good house for groups, and excellent location in the centre of Brighton within minutes of the lanes.

In terms of the beds, it can be a bit tricky for couples, but as long as you're happy to share with each other, then all the better.

Fantastic apartment & great location

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was fabulous, really great space and lovely decor. The only issue we had was with the heat. With 16 people on a gloriously hot weekend it was extremely warm and the two air con units downstairs didn't really make a difference. Some of the bedrooms were also very hot. However, everything else was brilliant and we had an amazing weekend!
