Thank You and Aloha, your home away from home is perfect for long term stay. New WiFi modem and router installed Jan 2017. Just imagine yourself, on a balmy evening, dining on the lanai/deck sipping on your favorite drink, looking out over the Pacific Ocean, thinking about what you will be doing tomorrow, anything from adventure seeking to plain old relaxing.

If you love flowers you will love Keauhou Resort, the grounds were planned by Mrs Seymour (Outdoor Circle) and have 27 different color plumeria or frangipani, numerous bougainvillea, bird of paradise, coconut palms, mango, banana, monstera, orchids, spider lilies and numerous other tropical plants to delight your senses.

Keauhou Resort's central location means you are close to Kona Country Club Golf Courses, (two courses within walking distance), several restaurants, including Sam Choys, Kenichi, L&L, and Thai, my favorite coffee place Peaberry and Gallette, Coffee Country is a short drive, beaches, surf, Ironman, Game fishing, Historic Hawaiian Village, Keauhou Bay Outrigger Canoe Club, kayaking and many other attractions. Keauhou Bay is the hub for tours to Kealakekua Bay. I am happy to send you an Official Travel Planner for the Big Island?? Just send me your postal address.

This Keauhou Resort townhouse features parking at your door and no one is above or below you. The downstairs bedroom has two full beds and there is a comfortable couch upstairs that converts to a queen size bed if required. The layout allows a cool trade wind breeze to flow through and there is also a fully screened lanai downstairs.

Upstairs lanai has a Fabulous view of the Pacific Ocean, you can enjoy your BBQ and dining on the lanai is beautiful, the sunsets are to die for. If you are not worn out by a day of adventure or just relaxing, there is a flat screen smart TV with smart Blue Ray player and access to internet TV.

The kitchen features Microwave, stove, oven, fridge and pantry. You can walk to local KTA food store in 5 minutes or it is about a minute drive.

The property has two swimming pools and a nice area for sunbathing and socializing with other lucky guests and owners.

Keauhou Resort is surrounded by a Golf Course which was completely refurbished 2015. H Bay is 5 minute walk and has fabulous surf in the winter and good snorkeling when it is calm. Also five minute walk to Keauhou Shopping Center which has a number of restaurants, a Trendy coffee house, movie theaters, Drugstore and Grocery store.

Alii Drive has the run section of the Iron Man in October and is a short walk away. Close by, Kahaluu Bay is one of the best snorkeling places in the State of Hawaii and is safe and sheltered, turtles and numerous fish are in abundance.

Humpback whales can be seen from your lanai in Whale season Nov - Mar.

Manta Rays can be seen from shore at The Manta Room Lounge at The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa which is a ten minute walk. Diving or snorkeling with Manta Rays is an unforgettable experience and can be arranged at Keauhou Bay. The kayaking from Keauhou Bay is amazing and there are several tours departing from Keauhou Bay for the famous Kealakekua Bay, where British explorer Captain Cook tragically lost his life.

For the adventurous, Kilauea Volcano is a beautiful scenic two hour drive and has been erupting continuously since 1986, spewing lava anyway, you can see the newest land in the world. Volcano National Park is full of beauty and if you are in to Volcanos, this is a must see.

Also where else on earth can you drive to the summit of a 13,975 ft and watch the most magnificent sunset you may ever see. Stargazing is incredible.

The Big Island has breathtaking waterfalls, Jurassic Park valleys and lush tropical forests, add to that some of the best golf courses in USA and world class big game fishing. This is an Island where you can adventure to the max or just relax.

Why Elisabeth Demarest chose Keauhou

I fell in love with Keauhou Resort when it was first built in 1970 and have been staying here ever since.

What makes this townhome unique

The Big Island of Hawaii is so unique among the Hawaiian Islands, there is so much diversity, the beautiful beaches, awe inspiring mountains at nearly 14,000 feet that get snow each year, waterfalls, the most active volcano in the world, cowboy country, hiking, swimming, diving, surfing and in the words of Mark Twain 'The weather is perfect'

Not quite as it seems.

  • 2 of 5

Great location, well equipped kitchen. But it needs serious updating. Especially the bathroom. You can use it if you are alone downstairs. Geckos and roaches are everywhere inside the unit. Moldy walls downstairs and moldy washer. It could use more cleaning (dead roaches behind the bed.) TV is unenjoyable with no channels to watch. Internet, forget about it. We asked for a somewhat more reliable Internet access, and the answer was no from the owners.

I would not stay there again.

Owner's Response: Hi Gyula, Thank You for letting me know your concerns, you should have said something while you were here. Lis would do anything to make her guests comfortable and happy. To address the issues you have raised a new modem and router has been installed. There is also free WiFi at the pool area. Regarding geckos and bugs, pest control is carried out quarterly and by keeping the screens closed at night it stops things getting in from outside. A deep clean is scheduled to be carried out including washing machine. Next time you are here perhaps we could meet to review improvements. Köszönöm szépen and Aloha, Peter and Lis.

incredible view

  • 5 of 5

This condo had a village type feeling because units are townhouses. I enjoyed the tropical gardens and feeling of privacy that this unit offered. I enjoyed meals on the upper deck which has a beautiful expansive ocean view and cool breezes. The Keauhou area of Kona is my favorite as it is quiet and historic. The grocery store, drug store, restaurants and movies are a short walk away. Enjoyed my time there very much and will return.

Lake Tahoe

Absolutely beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

I love this place, it is so quiet and yet so close to everything, the golf was spectacular, Kona coffee on the lanai overlooking the Ocean while the gentle breeze blows all your troubles away, golf and then a relaxing afternoon around the pool, dinner on the lanai or a choice of Mexican, Italian, Japanese or local, all within 5 minutes walk or about one minute drive. The boat trip from Keauhou Bay to Kealakekua was beautiful, I saw dolphins, turtles and whales. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park was a scenic 2 - 4 hour drive depending on how many stops we made. Thurston Lava Tube, Jagger Museum and Kilauea Visitor Center were great if you like volcanos. Akaka Waterfall, Waipio Valley and Onemana Tropical Gardens were so beautiful. I used the official planner to help me choose what to do. Next time I will have to stay longer. Thank You and A Hui Hou (till we meet again)
