Why Richard Brown chose Idaho

We fell in love with Coeur d'Alene while vacationing here in 2013 ... so much so that we flew back a month later, found this incredible lot, built this house and moved! We have owned in a resort location in the past and rented it on VRBO and are excited to share our newfound treasure with you.

What makes this house unique

Location, Location, Location! We love living just 4.5 miles west of Downtown Coeur d'Alene. It's a quick drive and a fun bike ride along the Centennial Trail. The towering pine trees surrounding our little neighborhood of just 18 homes gave us the best of both ... new construction but with the feeling of being in a mature established area.

Perfect for Ironman!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I came to CDA for the Ironman event and this was an awesome place to stay. This home was just minutes away from the event start as well as being close to the downtown area for nice shops and great restaurants. The neighborhood where the house is located was a newer development and it was wonderfully peaceful and quiet. This was such a great home to relax in with all of the nice amenities one would want in a home. The owners were so helpful with suggestions of places to eat for us and helping to navigate the area which was really helpful for the two of us who had never been to Idaho before. We just both felt so comfortable and relaxed like we were in our own home. We Definitely would stay here again.

very nice place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Location was very good, literally 10 minutes from downtown Coeur D'Alene via I-90.

Nice neighborhood, quaint, new homes, just a couple blocks away from the Spokane river, but no real beach in the vicinity.

The house we stayed in was very comfortable. The master bedroom on the first floor had a king bed, nice en suite, french doors leading to the

backyard and hot tub. No window, which did not allow letting the sometimes cool nighttime air in.

The upstairs was one bedroom with a queen bed and a nice en suite, did have a window to open at night.

The kitchen was very usable, and we did cook dinners at home every night except for one.

The back patio was nicely set up with a very good BBQ that hooked up to natural gas, an LP burning fireplace that we used on a couple cool nights.

The house was relatively new and in very good shape. The one big negative was that there were dog hairs all over the patio couch and blankets, that ended up on our clothes, as we spent most nights on the patio after dinner reading. I used the vacuum to do my best to eliminate the hairs, with some success. As I was pulling the sheets from the master bed on the day we left, there was a layer on dog hairs on the sheet where it tucked in under the mattress...yuck.

Overall, we very much enjoyed out stay at the house, and it provided us the room we needed for comfort and dinners in. Great value for the money.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you like our place! We did want to respond to your comments about the dog hair (yes, we are guilty of owning two adorable Jack Russell Terriers). We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and apologize for the inconvenience. For future guests, we want you to know we have purchased separate blankets for the back patio that are just for our renters (no dog hair) and have our cleaning company paying extra attention to dog hair to avoid this in the future. Also, we wanted to respond to the comment about not having a window in the master bedroom. We did trade it for the beautiful wood wrapped atrium doors so we (and our renters) would have the convenience of walking directly from the master bedroom to the hot tub. One suggestion for summer nights is just to leave the door ajar a bit .. the back yard it completely fenced and secure and this would allow for some fresh air if desired.

Two master suites at Kyong Court

  • 5 of 5

We were pleased with the accommodations with two master suites. The Kitchen was well furnished with extra condiments for your use. The owners had the house all lit up as a welcoming and provided a couple of gift baskets. Great place to stay for two couples.

Beautiful Northwest Retreat

  • 5 of 5

On our two week trip in the Pacific Northwest, we booked a 2 day stay at this amazing house! After staying in hotels for days, it was terrific to lounge in a comfortable, spacious, and immaculate property. This home has it all--great location (within a short drive to cozy downtown Coeur d'Alene and excellent restaurants), amazing open floor plan, relaxing patio, and 2 Master baths with en suites. We were totally comfortable there and cannot wait to get back! And, lucky for us, it is located only an hour's drive to Montana--our next stop.

A repeat customer with another trip already booked

  • 5 of 5

I've actually stayed at this property twice and already booked another trip this summer. The property was absolutely first class, I felt like I was in my own home. It was immaculate, well decorated and had all the amenities we needed. And, the location is perfect, there are walking or biking trails practically right outside the front door that take in many different directions from a beautiful scenic route to downtown Coeur D'Alene. You can access the river within a short walk. There are so many options of where to go and what to do that we were never bored.

With that said, we also loved just staying at the house. Having coffee on the front porch in the morning to cocktails on the back patio in the evening where it felt so secluded and what was even better was a fire pit where we roasted marshmallows for s'mores.

My first trip was with another couple and it was such a romantic setting because there are two master suites were we had our privacy or we were all together in the great room, the guys could watch TV and the ladies could chat at the kitchen island but we were still together.

My second trip was with my family of four and my sisters family of four. The house met all of our needs, the kids could run around outside and the adults were actually able to get some piece and quiet too.

I can't wait for my trip this summer which will be a girls golf trip and after I showed them the pictures of the house, there was no question as to where we were going to stay.

I highly recommend this property based on my very different experiences, and the owners were very easy to work with as well as accommodating. This is a must stay at property, you can't go wrong.

our Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this lovely home, and it is first class, all the way. Everything you could want or need, is there.

The location is great, for walking or biking, into town. Sitting in the back yard in the evening having a glass of wine and enjoying the peace and quiet, was delightful. We loved it there and can't wait to go back again.
