About Robert Bryant

I am a Maine native now living in Florida. My family lives nearby in Pittsfield. This is the lake I grew up on and remember many times coming to 'Moose Pond' with my friends during high school boating, swimming, and fishing. I bought this house for use for me and my family, and in spare time to rent out.

Robert Bryant purchased this cottage in 2008

Great lakeside retreat!

  • 5 of 5

The family and I spent an extended weekend 2/23-2/26. The cabin was excellent. Comfortable accomodations and everything you could want. My son and I ice fished for 2 and 1/2 days. We had decent action are totals were; 5 brown trout, 13 pickerel, 1 white perch, 1 cusk, 1 largemouth bass, and 18 yellow perch. Good action right in front of the camp. We could watch out traps right from the comforts of the living room. My wife really enjoyed the amenities. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Very Nice Winter Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed five winter nights in the A-Frame, and as it happened, we arrived just at the start of a storm that delivered 12-27" of snow to the area, followed the next day by another storm dropping 5". Roads were cleared by 8 a.m. and the driveway was cleared by 9:15. We were never slowed down by the snow.

The house is neat and clean and well stocked with dishes, linens and other things. You need to buy your own wood for the fireplace if you want a fire.

Bob was easy to reach and seemed genuinely concerned about us as we approached in the storm.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending this property.

Very relaxing stay

  • 4 of 5

The place had everything one would need. The owner was present at his home 2 houses down for 2 of the weeks and he was very helpful. We were there 1 month. The only issue was the condition of the last 1.7 miles of road to the house, as it was rough. Also, the city was doing culvert installation and we were diverted to a secondary road routinely. However, this clearly was temporary.

On hotter days, an air conditioner would have been helpful, even though there were lots of fans.

The location was scenic and relaxing. Lots of room in the house; 3 floors. We enjoyed the deck and beautiful surrounding scenery. The lake, if you have a boat, is 6 miles of pristine water.

Beautiful home on a Beautiful Lake!

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful home on a Beautiful Lake! Owner was very nice, answered any questions in a timely manner and received deposit in a timely fashion as well.

Criticisms: I vacationed first week in August when it's hot weather so there was no air conditioning and a few boards on lake deck seemed loose.

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 had a blast on this property! Easy access to the water was fantastic. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet vacation on an awesome lake in Maine. Only thing to keep in mind is that there is no AC. Not a huge deal but just something to keep in mind.

Awesome vacation, mesmerizing lake

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation at Bob's cabin on the lake. It was our first trip to the area, and he was very helpful in telling us about the cabin, the lake, and the area. The cabin is very comfortable and welcoming. It was a treat to arrive at the front door and immediately be able to see the lake out back from the front door because of the open arrangement of the kitchen, dining, and living room. I really like to have everything I need when I rent a place on vacation, and the kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of towels (I don't like running out of towels on vacation), and the furniture in the living VERY comfortable (we each quickly found our favorite chair for the rest of the vacation). The real highlight of the trip was the large deck and yard overlooking the awesome lake. I woke up early every morning to watch the sunrise and the lake would literally glitter. For breakfast, I brought my cereal and tea (and a book) to the end of the dock and just sat there and enjoyed the quiet. It was so peaceful. We went out to eat one night and then decided we'd rather eat on the deck overlooking the porch during sunset so we got ready-made chicken from the local market. There is no air conditioning in the cottage (or at least we couldn't find it) but there are fans. The bedrooms are small but they definitely serve the purpose for a good night's sleep and they have good storage. We truly felt that we had the privilege of spending 4 days in one of the prettiest and most peaceful places we've ever visited. We are now officially lake-lovers thanks to Bob's cabin! And we'll be back.
