Casa Lisa is Perfect! It is exactly what we were looking for. A very nice place with a great view and not too much late night roudiness :) i like to cook so the kitchen is very well designed. And the beach view is ideal.
Pros: We just love this location - none better in Cabo in our opinion, and certainly nothing even close for the price. Right on a beautiful, wide-open, fun, soft beach with great surfing and boogie boarding, and without the flood of tourists and vendors that carpet the beaches in Cabo itself. Easy access to shops and restaurants in San Jose del Cabo, not far from other great beaches along the coast. Feels authentic and very laid back. The house is comfortable, clean and secure, nicely decorated with everything you need - beach, pool, snacks, beach, pool, drinks, repeat.
Cons: Just one - the Mexicans really do party loud in the arroyo that the house faces. Literally from dusk til dawn on Friday and Saturday, and sporadically otherwise. My wife brought earplugs, which did the trick for her. Noise doesn't bother me, and our pre-teen kids didn't even notice it. But I imagine light sleepers or people bothered by noise would be driven crazy by several loud car stereos playing a random mix of mariachi and techno music all night long. If noise is an issue for you, then heed the warnings.
This location was a great get-away. Large comfortable beds, rooms etc. with a huge view of the beach. We listened to the ocean waves crashing every day and night. The bathrooms are a bit worn and dated. We had a blast. We stopped at the Mega store and stocked up for a week rather than much dining out. There is only a couple places to eat close by, unless you walk about a mile back to the Mega mall area. It is right next to a public beach, that seems to be a late-night party area for the locals, so be careful to note if this is for you or not. We went early enough in the year, so most nights were calm and peaceful.
This is by far the worst property I have ever stayed in. The cockroaches are big inside but the people outside are far worse. Whatever you do don't stay here. If they are giving it away for free go somewhere else. It is currently 0100 and I am listening to a full band play outside of out window. This property backs up to an arroyo that is public property aND everyone shows up here to party
