A lovely farm home in Northern Tuscany
Podere Galilea is situated in a typical vineyard, which is part of the Montalbano Chianti region. Surrounded by the evocative hillsides, against which the ancient medieval castles of Vinci, Larciano, Monsummano and Montecatini are situated.
It is an old and spacious farmhouse which has been completely restructured so as to maintain its original exterior and to give the interior a modern look; with an emphasis on practicality and comfort.
Our B&B offers 4 flats, 3 bedrooms and a spacious common area, where, on request, it is possible to try local Tuscan dishes.
The Agriturismo Podere Galilea was developed because its owners have a passion for Tuscany.
Our idea was to let our guests get a feeling for the typical tastes and values of farm life of years gone by, whilst having at their disposal all modern day comforts.

Modern Fused With old Tuscan Farm House
This property was exactly as shown. Our apartment was very clean and well furnished. Everything is upgraded and well finished with all modern amenities. It is truly a farmhouse down a dirt road amongst vineyards and olive groves, which you can purchase from Francesco. The surrounding grounds are beautiful but sadly we were not able to enjoy sitting by the pool because of the bad weather. Next time!!
The highlight, and what we talked about during the day, was the anticipation of breakfast each morning. The best! A variety of cheeses, cold meats, yogurt, fresh fruit. The piece de resistance were the fresh bread, egg omelettes and tarts that were made fresh each morning. We had lots of energy to tour the country side.
The location was conveniently located near the town of Larciano and Vinci (da Vinci's birthplace). From here we did day trips to Cinque Terre, Pisa and Florence.
I highly recommend this property and would certainly return again. Francesco and his wife were gracious hosts.
My only minor complaint is that the WiFi did not reach our room. But in retrospect it was nice to be disconnected. There are lots of cafes and bars to sip on cappuccinos to browse the net or post your facebook pics of the day.
