Come relax in our 2 acre private, family owned lodge built with hand hewn logs from the local forest. The Lodge is built over the old Greer rope tow to the top of the ski slope. The Little Colorado River runs near both sides of our property about 200 feet away. Enjoy the cool mountain air with all the wildlife that call Greer home. We have wild turkeys, Elk, Deer and beautiful birds visiting our property. Hear the Elk bugle while sitting on the large deck overlooking the pond full of large Rainbow trout. Enjoy hot chocolate with the fire blazing while it is snowing.

Any season in Greer is a magical experience. In the summer you'll enjoy green meadows and lush forest of Ponderosa Pines and Aspens. The temperatures rarely exceed 76 degrees. The beautiful fall colors peak in October and it is the best time to hear the Elk bugle. Winter brings great skiing, snowboarding and sledding which is only 15-20 minutes away. Enjoy the snow from the large windows by the fire while enjoying hot chocolate. Spring is one of the most beautiful times when the landscape is in bloom.
Various wildlife of the White Mountains can be seen regularly throughout the year so bring your camera.
Get your horses out of the heat! Enjoy riding through our private easement that connects directly to various established National Forest trails. We have a 4 stall stable with automatic watering, corral, tack/feed room and a fenced pasture area.
Call or email with any questions.
We have been visiting Greer for years. When we retired we bought a house with guest house in the Virgin Islands but still wanted our White Mountain retreat.
Edward & Robin Stein purchased this lodge in 2014
We feel in love with this property because it is beautiful, peaceful, and has the private easement to the National Forest. The lodge is made from real rounded local logs that are breathtaking. The pond is full of trout and is right off the large deck. We have a 4 stall stable with corrals and pasture land. Private gated entry lined with Aspen and pine trees that flow into our two acres.
You can bring your horses and enjoy our private easement to the National Forest. Rent one or both cabins with or without the horse stables.
Me and 8 friends rented this place for a relaxing girls weekend in July 2015. We were all very impressed with the beautiful, and very clean, cabin. Ed was so nice and helpful. He loaned us his fishing poles and built us a fire in the outside fire pit. This is a great place for a relaxing weekend. We hiked, fished, hung out on the deck...had a great time! Can't wait to go back!
first we would like to say Ed and Robin the owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. they were like seconded parents to our kids. the property is incredible with its own lake with big trout. But there not for catching just feeding. there is the little Colorado river just about 200 yds. are kids caught about 20 small trout. the beds are very comfortable and all the beds and linen were provided. it has a real fire place in the living room and is very cozy area to gather. the cabin is clean and bug free. the property is about 2 acres with lots of area for kids and dogs to play. The patio deck is huge over looking the lake. the setting is the far south end of Greer about 1 mile from Molly Butlers rest where the food is incredible we are from Phoenix AZ and know great food and this place is right up there at the top. we would highly recommend this cabin to any one and will be going back.
We had 12 people stay for the 4th of July and had a great time. The back deck is where we spent most of our time, overlooking the trout pond. The owners were great and the cabin was spotless. Very comfortable for a large group and really enjoyed the property. Highly recommended!
The horse facilities are first class. (better than I have at home) We used the direct easement from the property to the National Forest and rode for hours. The horses loved the cool weather.
The Lodge was beautiful and the master bedroom is huge. It was nice to have wifi and TV. My wife enjoyed the soaking tub after our long ride.
The owners told us where the Elk where sleeping (right next to the property) so we got up at dawn and saw the herd of 25 to 30.
We are coming back for a week in August with our horses.
Rented the Guest Cabin for a few days and loved it. Enjoyed the fireplace while watching TV at night. Hiked during the days and enjoyed all the wildlife. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals.
Owners were friendly and gave great suggestions for hiking and going out to eat. Great place to stay and we will be back this summer!
I had the pleasure of staying here for a much needed 4 day weekend with my hubby. It was great to get away from the past-paced lifestyle of Phoenix. It was like we were transported to another world, the surroundings are so green and lush.
We spent a great deal of time in the living room enjoying the wood-burning fireplace. It was so romantic! It was just lovely waking up and enjoying our morning coffee while overlooking the mountains and the pond. Simply breathtaking! We took some time to explore the area and saw wild turkeys, elk and so many different, beautiful birds. I enjoyed a long soak in the claw foot tub after our morning hike while my husband took advantage of the sauna.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. I have many dietary restrictions and food allergies so I just loved that we could prepare our own meals when we wanted. All of the furnishings were clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully; exactly what you would expect of an authentic lodge like this.
On our last night there, we enjoyed a movie night on the large, flat screen tv! I made popcorn & cocoa while my husband got the fire started. I loved that we had free wi-fi, I was able to check emails with ease
We are counting down the days until we can escape again to Greer. And when we can, we’ll be staying here again!
