Cabin was built in 2004 and sleeps up to 4 people comfortably and has a full kitchen, living room/ dining area with free Wi-Fi.
I am a local realtor with a passion for outdoors & golf! My family purchased this cabin recently to enjoy being close to Lake of the Woods as well as other mountain lakes close by. We enjoy water skiing, fishing as well as snowmobiling in the winter. My wife owns a beauty salon in beautiful Ashland Oregon just 30 minutes from the cabin. Our goal is to make this cabin feel like your home a way from home while your enjoying the beauty of the area.
Jake Rockwell purchased this cabin in 2015
With a full acre and natural surroundings enjoy peace and quiet away from the resort while still taking advantage of the resort activities when you choose to. Only a short 7 miles to the actual resort or even shorter distance to the lake itself from our cabin. Great spot to stay for people wanting to visit Crater Lake National Park and the surrounding lakes. An additional 4 lakes within 20 miles of the cabin with several resorts & restaurants to choose from year around. Crater Lake National Park is about an hour drive. Our cabin is clean with new furniture and comfortably sleeps 4-5 people. Very comfortable setting.
Summers are thriving in the area with 5 different lakes and the popular Lake of the Woods Resort which has boat rentals, restaurants, live music, stores & more! In the winters you can snowmobile to the cabin from surrounding trails. Enjoy quite time while in the cabin away from the resort. We offer fishing gear, snowshoes and the area offers year around fun! There is even a tubing/sledding hill 20-30 miles away!
A year later and we visted the cabin once more. Was it all we remembered it to be?
A place to get away from it all (including our cell phones)? Check!
Lots of fresh air and a beautiful outdoor setting? Check!
An impeccable cozy cabin with huge windows to watch the snow falling? Check! Check!
What more could you ask for?
Will we be coming back for a third time? CHECK!
We really enjoyed our stay! It snowed almost 12 inches while we were there! So much fun! The cabin had everything we could possibly need and wasn't too far from Ashland, but just far enough to feel like we were out far enough to enjoy our vacation.
The only issue we had was that the Internet only allowed 4 devices to connect (this included the TVs) and we were unable to get our computers to connect, so no access to some work/school things for the weekend.
I would stay here again and would recommend to friends. Clean and comfortable. Quiet little development right off Dead Indian Memorial Road. About 7 minutes to Lake of the Woods. Just under an hour to the rim of Crater Lake. Dogs and I had a great time.
What we loved : the peacefulness, the large kitchen, the abundance of cooking utensils, the fireplace, the gorgeous table and chairs made of some exotic wood - we think maybe myrtlewood - the dishwasher, the ease of checking in an out, the great communication. What we weren't so crazy about: the bedroom is upstairs, and the bathroom is downstairs (we are older and have to get up at night a lot!), and the remoteness of the location. We usually check out our rental kitchen to see what we have to work with, then go get groceries to prepare our meals. It was a good 45 minute drive to the nearest grocery store in Ashland, down a twisty turny mountain road. We did discover the next day the little resort (Lake of the Woods) not too far that does have a restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that looked great, and a very small general store, so that would be an option for basics.
Our deposit was refunded promptly.
We loved the peacefulness! The cabin was wonderful! If you go, just get your supplies first so you don't have to go all the way back into town.
My initial impression driving up to the home-luxury. I loved the covered drive up area that left room to get the equipment out of the car without the sun beating down on you. After walking inside and smelling that sweet summertime cabin scent I knew we would have a great time. The cabin is small but the massive vaulted ceiling and loft made it feel airy and fresh. My favorite part of out stay was the morning breakfast on the deck. It was perfectly serene and quiet. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to get away from the hubbub of life and enjoy the simple things.
30 miles from Ashland and Medford Oregon and few minutes from 4 different lakes. Great location for those that love the outdoors and don't mind the short drive from town.
