CASTREAUX CAMP is on a tract of land consisting of 1.5 acres. On this tract is the camp and the owner's residence. The immediate half acre surrounding the camp comes with plenty of parking space and is situated on a street corner of a quiet cul-de-sac. There are no better neighbors anywhere in the world. CASTREAUX CAMP is a single wide mobile home with CACH, consisting of 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The larger BR has a queen sized bed, the second BR has a full sized bed and the living area offers a pull-out sleeper sofa bed. A 35 amp watt connection is available for one RV. A flat screen TV in the living area is available with Dish Satellite. The kitchen is complete with stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, pots, pans, cups, glasses and utensils. Linen and towels are provided. A screened-in back porch with ceiling fan and gathering table for eating, telling stories, playing checkers or simply relaxing with a pocket view of Toledo Bend Lake. There are plenty of electrical outlets for charging your batteries. Within walking distance is a private boat ramp. Here you can launch your boat, return the boat trailer back to the camp and take that short walk back to your boat. P L U S . . .on the property behind the owner's residence is an 11 ft x 27 ft in-ground fiberglass swimming pool with a 3.5 shallow end and a 5.5 ft deep end. Also available is a studio apartment for overflow accommodations which can be viewed on this website as PROPERTY #712043. Less than a mile by road takes you to Holly Park Marina providing another launching ramp for your boat. A gas pump at the Marina is also accessible by water. Here you will find ice, ice cream, cold drinks, coffee with a quick hot breakfast sandwich or hamburger for lunch and of course all the necessary tackle to make your fishing trip complete. The marina also sell fishing licenses. If in need of groceries, less than 20 minutes into Hemphill on Hwy 87 South is a Brookshire Brothers store and for eating out you will find El Tio Mexican Restaurant, Subway, Dairy Queen, The Feed Store, The Outskirts Steak House and more. An additional 10 minutes of driving on Hwy 21 East into Toledo Town for more good Mexican food at El Giro with the choice to stop sooner at Big Mama’s Seafood and Steak on the Texas side or at The Fisherman’s Galley just as you cross into Louisiana. This rental property is your best buy for your money and the owners are right next door for immediate response to any requests.

50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.

About the owner: Brenda was born and raised in Louisiana as a Thibodeaux... Pat was born and raised in Texas as a Castro; thus was born our business, Castreaux Services, LLC with the Castreaux Camp resulting. We are retired Petroleum Landmen. We moved into our home next door to the camp in 2009 and fell in love with the water, wild life and a slower pace of life. We have three furr-kids, Paceaux (pronounced Paco), a Shih-tzu ; Petite, a Shih-Poo; and Peanut, a Yorkie.
Why the Owner Chose Milam, TX, USA:
We decided to buy this property because it was next door to our home and rather than having it become a long term rental decided that it woud serve as an affordable place for those looking to experience a couple of days or more of pursuing the joy of fishing on Toledo Bend or for simply just getting away!
The Unique Benefits at this Mobile Home:
Across the street in the green belt we have a family of Bald Eagles that have become part of our neighborhood. Sometimes at night you can hear the coyotes, and on nights having clear skies you can see the stars that some of us had not seen since childhood. It's beautiful in this part of the country. This property is located mid-lake and gives easy access to the north and south points of the lake. The very popular and well-known Holly Park Marina is within minutes of the rental property. The community boat launch is within a few hundred feet of the property.
