Dog Friendly Pool Table

Close to Tahoe City and the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is Panorama Place a comfortable 3 bedroom, 3 bath vacation home with an additional games room with pool table that doubles as a fourth bedroom. If you are looking for a North Lake Tahoe Vacation rental for your family and friends that is well equipped, dog friendly and in a great location this is a great place.

In winter this vacation accommodation is only a 15 minute drive to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski area, 20 minutes from Northstar and only a few minutes drive from Tahoe City Cross Country which has fabulous dog friendly, Lakeview ski trails.

On the lower level you will find the entertainment room with pool table, big TV, and a queen futon, so this room will double as a fourth bedroom. Also on this level is a bedroom and bathroom with a queen and a double bed.

Upstairs is a spacious and sunny living and dining room with big stone fireplace with wood provided (in winter). A wrap around couch focuses on this cozy fireplace, a great place to relax after a big day skiing. The living area has a wall of large windows letting in lots of sunlight. The dining table seats 8 people and is nice and close to the kitchen. You will find the kitchen well equipped and very conveniently located. From the dining area you can go out to the lovely deck that wraps around a big pine tree. The living room has a TV with DVD & VCR and a great stereo system.

On this level you will find a second bedroom with a king bed, stereo system and a full bathroom and the third bedroom has a King bed and a master bath with shower.

There is a single car garage that is accessed through the house and a parking pad at the top of the driveway. The driveway is quite steep so we recommend that you back up in winter to give you easier access.

Bedroom Layout:

2nd Bedroom - King

3rd Bedroom - Queen and Full bed

House was affordable, clean, & good location. Also like, having access to key to the house at our convenience.

Great size and location for a wedding we attended

  • 4 of 5

We were able to walk to the venue which is always a plus. The pool table was a big hit with the kids. Driveway was a little tough to park two vehicles with one being a 2500 RAM but that is no biggie. Kitchen is on the small side but with just staying 3 days, we did not plan on cooking in. Nice TV and stereo and we enjoyed sitting in the deck and enjoying the scenery. You really can't be in a bad mood when you are in Tahoe. We did think the house could have been a little cleaner. The carpets in bathrooms were really dirty, so much so that we washed them before we left and it made a huge difference. The one complaint would be the light up on the tree that stays on all night. It shines right into the downstairs bedroom if you are sleeping in the left side bed. No matter how much you close the blinds, it seems to still be in your eyes (sorry, I am so sensitive to light when sleeping). We really enjoyed the 1 mile or so walk into Tahoe city on the paved trail. Great location for restaurant choices and shopping. We really enjoyed our family time in this home. Thank you

Panorama Place

  • 3 of 5

As with everything in life; you get what you pay for. This is not a high end property. We were happy here, but it's dated. The fixtures in bathrooms and kitchen could use some updating; showers not great, linoleum separating from around the tub and kitchen appliances are older. It's clean and perfect for a family. Especially with the pool table. Lots of stairs so the moving in and out is a pain. You can hear the highway from the master bedroom. Overall we were happy with the house just pointing out some of the issues so other renters are aware.

Owner's Response: Hi Katherine, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We really do appreciate the feedback for ourselves and future guests. While we cannot address everything, as the location of the location of the home/stairs are not within control, we will pass along the feedback to the owner of the home so he is aware of improvements that would make the guest experience more satisfying. Again, thank you for the assessment of the property and we hope you enjoyed your time in Tahoe.
