Clean property, tv system needs work.
The condo was clean, cool and rejuvenating after 100 degrees outside, and conveniently located!
I'm always nervouse renting sight unseen, but all was as described. The only thing that bothered us was the theigh workout on the stairs--but that was at most places on the lake. We had a great family vacation and we were not ontop of each other. We had 8 adults and 3 children.
Nice property with great view but needs work
As I stated, I love the place. The views were fantastic, the space was great for all of us and we fit comfortably (there were 14 of us in all). I would consider staying at this condo again if/when a few things were changed.
First off: contacting the condo owner was a great cause of stress. He doesn't do phone interactions so, it's all email (which is good if you want to keep a paper trail of all transactions) but it seemed to me that he didn't really check his email. When it came time to arrive at the condo, I prayed this all wasn't a scam of some sort...even when we got to the condo I was praying the key code worked and we weren't traveling across three states just to turn around and be out of hundreds of dollars. Everything checked out but that just shows how much contact I had with the owner about this rental--and it wasn't from my lack of trying.
Next: It seemed like the place was empty for a while before us--which is totally fine, except that the "cleaning" job seemed rushed and inefficient. There was still dust on some of the furniture, there was blonde hair in one of the tubs and the pillows did not seem to be fresh.
And: almost all of the lights in the kitchen had burnt out bulbs. That's not really that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things--I would just like the owner to be aware of that.
The dishwasher: it worked, but the buttons were missing the labels so I had to guess which setting the machine was on. I mean, the entire strip was missing, so I had no clue what was going to happen during the wash cycle. I guess I picked the right one because the dishes came out clean.
The deck: the view from here was AMAZING, especially as the sun began to set. I was in heaven--but there was an issue with the deck. The railing was loose--which is bad for a family like mine where there are small children involved. Whenever we were outside, we were in fear the rail (made of plastic) would just fall over.
The grill: it worked just fine. I would just recommend the owner provide a cover for it. While my family and I were at the condo, it rained most of the time and it would've been nice if we could've covered the grill.
The fridge: it took forever for it to get cold. My family and I were actually debating on whether to call because the thing was so warm. We had a lot of food in there and to have it go to waste would have been a huge bummer.
A preliminary check of the condo before our arrival would've probably solved many of these issues.
We had a wonderful time at the lake.
This condo was perfect for our large extended family.
The 2nd floor was perfect for the children.
Plenty of space for entire family.
Great location...right by the Outlet mall.
We'll be back for a summer trip.
