Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you! We have had a wonderful time! So charming and interesting! We've been reading all the pictures and maps. Teaching these teenage children all about everything! The festival itself was wonderful. We got rained out at Irma Thomas, but that was all. Ran into a fellow physican in the French Quarter who was staying a few blocks away! We visited LaBoulangerie Bakery every morning and brought back goodies for the children while they were sleeping. Cant believe you are one block from that fantastic library!

Thank you and your mom for sharing your lovely home with all these beautiful antiques with us. It shall be a treasured memory forever.

Your new friend, Jane

A great place to stay in NOLA!

This house was very comfortable and convenient as we were there for Mardi Gras and it was an easy walk to the parade route. The owner was very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay. Great advantage having off street parking, too! We would definitely stay there again!

Great Location and a beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

Originally, I thought I might be too far away from the action on Bourbon Street but all the cheap booze and vomit get old fast so we spent a lot of our time in the neighborhood around the house. Everyone in the neighborhood is so nice and social. This house is a great chance to live like a local.

The Garden District Is Our New Orleans Destination

  • 5 of 5

I have grown up visiting New Orleans and have always stayed in The French Quarter. As an adult with kids of my own I have continued to do the same. This trip we rented this home in the Garden District and it could not have been more perfect for our family. It's one block off of St. Charles and 3 blocks from Magazine St. Restaurants, groceries, and ice cream parlor right around the corner. The house is really nice and comfortable, with a nice backyard and sitting area. We rode the trolley up St. Charles to Carrollton, and down St. Charles to the river and The Quarter. We got to experience a whole new side of New Orleans that we never took advantage of before.

Our kids said to us, "dad forget The Quarter we're staying here when we come back". We would recommend this property to our family and friends. We will be back.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I brought my family to New Orleans for a long weekend before Mardi Gras and our home away from home could not have been more perfect. Beautiful lodging; outstanding, safe, convenient location; a true New Orleans home. Coffee on the patio, walk to Magazine and St Charles streetcar, and a taste of New Orleans history in the home. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Nice neighborhood, convenient location

  • 5 of 5

To add some fun to the holidays, my brother and I decided to take our families to New Orleans for the week leading up to New Years. The house is in a neighborhood of houses valued roughly at $1 million. The house across the street was particularly well decorated and festively lit for New Years; fun to look at for adults and children. We felt safe walking at night a few blocks to an area with restaurants, ice cream shop, and drug store. During the day and evening, a 1 block walk to the St. Charles Streetcar Line was great to get to the French Quarter, WW2 museum, and other locations. We were able to park off the street behind the house and drove to a few destinations.

The rooms in the house were spacious and nicely decorated. It had plenty of dishes and a large dining room table for the meals we decided to eat in. And for the monopoly game that was held one night. It slept 6 people with our 2 college age children sleeping on cots we moved from the bedroom closet into the living room / parlor. The owner was very helpful answering questions about what to see and do in the area. We would definitely stay here again.
