About Vacasa of the Central California Coast

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great location, needs updating!! No tables!!

  • 3 of 5

The owners clearly never visit here. If they did, they would shell out $20 for a working toaster instead of putting a label on it that you have to hold the tab down for four minutes so that your bread can toast. They might buy a coffee table and some side tables for the living room so that you can play board games or do a puzzle. They might invest in an inexpensive table and chairs for the kitchen so there is somewhere to eat other than at the picnic table outside or hauling in the extremely heavy plexiglass covers to turn the pool table into a table for eating. (And even if you do the latter, there are no decent chairs or tablecloths to make it enjoyable to eat there). It is very strange to have a house with no tables and would easily and inexpensively remedied.

Also, there is no ping pong table here even though the listing states that there is. Our party was disappointed. We called the management company a couple times but the phone just rang and rang.

On the up side, the location is spectacular, the size of the house is great, the hot tub works, and the pool table was well used by our party.

great location, run-down and grungy property

  • 1 of 5

Plus side - great location and prompt attention to issues by property manager.

Down side - Hot tub did not work and no attempts to fix it in the five days we were there. Washer only has cold water. Property is really run-down, and bathrooms look grungy no matter how much cleaning there is. I felt like I had to put down a towel on the couch because I did not want to sit on the dirty-looking fabric. Neighbors called police on us for making too much noise; our party was comprised of 50-something professionals and adult children. The police officer actually laughed when my gray-haired brother-in-law (a surgeon) answered the door.

I would not stay in this property again, given the high price.

Great location - delicate home

  • 4 of 5

The location of this home is unbelievable. Sunny Cove is a beautiful locale that was a huge plus for my family. As for the home itself, while it has an abundance of character, the age of the home and the furniture/doors/beds kept us minding our 'P's and Q's' throughout our stay. All things considered, a great place if you have mature persons staying in the home. Not ideal for young children or adolescences who might not be respectful of a vintage home environment.

Perfect for our family celebration of my son and daughter-in-law’s 20th anniversary.

  • 5 of 5

Age range in family from 13 to 78 and all enjoyed themselves from the views to the beach to some wicked games of pool. We called it the house of many doors which made access to any part of the house and outside easy and lead to many charming surprises such as the very private backyard with the hot tub. Enjoyed the patio for eating, making s’mores over the fire pit and mellow conversations sitting around it. There were some minor issues which were rectified with a phone call and certainly outweighed by the overall pleasure enjoyed by all

Not good for families - felt like a youth hostel

  • 2 of 5

This house has a great location but the inside is pretty bad. While I could tell it was old when booking, the furniture made it unlivable. The beds and couches were sooo dusty and smelly and I had an allergic reaction to all the dust in the house. The couches were so old you basically sunk all the way in and the couch covers were disgusting. We chose this house so my kids could all sleep in separate rooms (and we could get some sleep) but the back bedrooms were unusable as they had no blinds or curtains - which I think is unsafe so close to the beach - and the kids would’ve been up with the sun at 5 am. There is no place to eat a meal in the house. Basically a really good house for a partying group who don’t care about comfort of couches or beds and just want to have a lot of people in the house. Not a good house for familIes. They have to get new furniture at the least!

Great house for a group

  • 4 of 5

We were celebrating my daughter's birthday so had a large group . The house is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. The location and view are excellent. Enjoyed having our morning coffee on the front porch watching the surfers. As stated in other reviews there is no dining room table but having the pool table more than made up for that. Our children and adult grandchildren really enjoyed playing pool. Also, there is a large picnic table and benches on the patio that works for dinners and if you really want a dining table there is plexiglas in the garage that can go on top of the pool table. The kitchen has enough utensils and cookware to accommodate a large group. Did not have enough coffee cups/mugs. Had to bring our own. Also, there is a lack of TV channels so couldn't watch the Masters or the Giants. But overall we were very happy.
