Back yard is the largest section of beach in the center of the island.
Super easy beach access, able to pull wagons, strollers or drive golf carts.
We have captured a unique ambience of old times so you can enjoy family and friends while relaxing on swings, cooking, drinking, playing card, kids on the beach making sand castle, swimming, fishing or crabbing.
UPSTAIRS: The camp is very clean, well maintained, comfortable, fully outfitted kitchen from spoons to large stainless pots and pans, gas cook top, full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, etc. Flat screen TV with DVD and VCR, so bring your favorite movies. New Central air conditioning and heat, all ceramic tile flooring. Has 2 bedrooms that sleep 4 in each room (2 full and 6 twin size beds, bunk bed style) and 1 full bath. The other half of the camp is the kitchen den open floor plan with a panoramic view of the beach and gulf.
Breath taking views of the gulf with shrimp boats, porpoises swimming, seagulls, fishing boats and of course sun rise and sun sets. You can watch family and friends on the beach from the upper deck. Please bring your own beach towels, we do not provide.
DOWNSTAIRS: is where most of the activities are enjoyed, bottom floor is decked off the ground, there are swings, picnic table, food prep counter top, fishing cleaning station, large kitchen sink, all the boiling, frying and BBQ equipment needed to enjoy friends and family. A large storage shed full of items for your use and to store your fishing gear.
A half bath is located downstairs for your convenience. Covered parking space is also provided in case of weather conditions.
Large back yard to play games and other activities. Beach access is convenient with a wide brick/sand road that takes you directly to the largest section of beach on the island. At night, you don't want to miss chasing hermit crabs (touloulou) on the beach, so bring your flash lights, all ages can enjoy this sport. Camp fires on the beach will surely bring up old pirate stories of Jean and Pierre Laffite, Grand Terre, Louis Chighizola (Nez Coupe') and the Battle of New Orleans.
Our location is in the center of the island, slow traffic, snow ball stand across the street and within walking distance of restaurants and clubs.
