Peaceful Country Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at this rustic cabin in the country. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of life, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Central heat worked great in this old house. It was a cold, cold weekend when we stayed so we didn't get to enjoy the front porch or any nature walks. The owners were very welcoming and even lent us jackets to help keep us warm at the antique fair.
An absolute jewel!
Absolutely loved this beautiful sanctuary! Bonnie and Steve were fantastic hosts and have a wonderfully tranquil peace of heaven here!! We loved coming "home" after long days of antiquing in the area for a recuperative quiet spot. Thanks so much for the hospitality and we look forward to staying with you again!!
Thanks so much for the visit-you are welcome anytime!!!
Great location and beautiful place. Would absolutely stay again.
Bonnie is a gracious host and the grounds are beautiful and serene. The house is so cute and very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.
Delightful visitors! Hope you come again soon!
Charming farmhouse cottage in a stunning setting!
We were 4 ladies on a Round Top antiques week adventure. The property was perfect for us! We took in every little detail of the adorable cottage! Vintage decor was everywhere! We loved it! Bonnie was sweet and brought us a blender and ice for our drinks. Only thing needed was a little more light in the kitchen and a big mirror in the bedroom so we could spread out to get ready. We arrived at dark and in the morning were delighted to find that we were in the middle of a perfectly landscaped peaceful pond/refuge. So beautiful. My only regret is that we were so busy shopping that we didn't have more time to walk the property and sit on the front porch!
Wonderful 'escape' from city and modern life
We spent majority of our time relaxing rocking in the chairs on the porch overlooking the gorgeous property. A lot of effort has gone into making the picturesque property enjoyable from the art pieces to nice trails to the landscaping. My favorite was the rod iron light fixtures illuminating the path to the house. The goal of this getaway was a relaxing escape from dealing with our recently flooded house and cars from Hurricane Harvey. It met our demands! I do wish the kitchen was functional but very fitting to the times and we made do with microwaved eggs and precooked bacon breakfast tacos each morning. Inside was very 'period' as people have described but loved looking around and admiring the 1840s house and dated 'everything' inside.
Renovated Farm House Stay
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very "period" which added to it's allure. Thankfully it was air conditioned which really made it paradoxical considering how old the place was. We also viewed another property that Bonnie had. Next time we will give that one a try as well. We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary and my wife was very pleased with the setting. I highly recommend staying here and most certainly will again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
