About Sheryl Papandria

I am an interior designer and my husband is a retired police officer. We both enjoy the outdoors and nature which is why we purchased the property.

We also like to hunt, fish, hike, ski, garden, cook, entertain, and spend time with our friends and family. We couldn't think of a better place to do all of the above.

Sheryl Papandria purchased this cottage in 2009

Why Sheryl Papandria chose Vandalia

This property has so much to offer and we knew we just wouldn't find anything else like it. It truly is one of a kind. Everybody that comes out here is just blown away. It's been a lot of hard work, but well worth it. We love it here!!

What makes this cottage unique

This property is truly unique because it has a little bit of everything. There is a lake, a pond, a moving stream, hills, woods, open areas, and it's far enough off the main road to give you that secluded feeling. Yet there are many places that provide all the modern conveniences only minutes away. Being next to T. K. Lawless Park is a huge plus with everything they have to offer and just knowing that the property won't be developed gives us a sense of security and reassures our privacy.

Want to book it for the fall.

  • 5 of 5

The retreat was everything we hoped for and more. The solitude, serenity, and beauty of the setting and the home itself were a balm for the bodies and souls of two weary parents. The amenities were spot on. As others have alluded to, the screened porch was our favorite locale. We could've spent our whole time there and enjoyed it.

The beauty of Lime Lake Lodge is only surpassed by the graciousness of the hosts. Sheryl picked out a beautiful Orchid for my wife as a surprise Anniversary hello and Dan gave me the shirt off of his back-literally. I asked to borrow a polo since I conveniently left mine at home. He happily obliged and even included a magazine to read. They offered the perfect complement of conversation, attention and leaving us to ourselves. They also graciously offered the use of their canoe and kayaks and somehow arranged for a deer to wander by the kitchen window before we left. Beautiful place-beautiful people. Go Blue!

Great cottage and what a view!

  • 5 of 5

The owner welcomed us and showed us the highlights of the cottage. The view was outstanding and we spent every moment we could sitting on the porch eating, reading, watching the nature show! I would definitely come back.

Peaceful and relaxing week.

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our week at Dan and Sheryl's guest home. We made use of the "sit on top" kayaks pretty much every day on the lake. Lime lake has crystal clear water and my husband caught lots of fish every day. He said that he got "bass thumb" from taking so many off the hook!

There is a beautiful county park accessible from the end of the driveway with many well maintained trails, which we used daily. We also enjoyed wildlife right around the house including 3-4 deer visiting mornings and evenings.

The house itself was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The screened porch has 2 ceiling fans, comfortable furniture and a gorgeous view of the grounds and the lake. We ate most of our meals out there. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics and then some. This retreat was carefully and thoughtfully designed, furnished and every need anticipated.

We plan to return!
