About the property

It is a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor (third floor in the U.S. - with a large, modern elevator!) in the former Convent of Notre Dame. The building is located next to the Basilica of Notre Dame and the Burgundy Wine Museum (the former “Hotel des Ducs de Bourgogne”). The building was begun as early as 976 a.d. and completed during the 15th century. During most of the 20th century, the building housed the church’s school, and was converted into tasteful, elegant apartments in the early 21st century. The apartment is located between Rue Paradis (“Heaven Street”) and Rue d’Enfer (“Hell Street”). It is located just steps away from pedestrian-only streets in the heart of the old town on a street that is believed to have been part of the site of the ancient Roman castrum, or fortress.

There is a private parking in the residence.

I love the life in Beaune, very charming and with many restaurants and nice touristic places, and would be more than happy to welcome you here !

Wonderful location in Beaune

As others have noted, this is the perfect location at which to base for a visit to Beaune and the surrounding area. The ability to park in a protected area every night was really important as almost all of Beaune is "payant" parking. The apartment size was fine; there were some items that needed fixing (the owner is aware of them) that were a bit annoying but overall we had a good stay. The bed was not very.comfortable for my 6'2" husband, and there is one very low spot on the ceiling in the hall which requires one to duck their head so beware if you are tall!

Ideally located and a lovely 1 bedroom flat but with plenty of room for the two of us.

The flat was right in the centre of Beaune but with secure parking right outside the entrance. There was a lift to the 2nd floor. Within a few seconds walk we were on the main square where there were many restaurants, bars, shops etc - ideal for us. Beaune is a lively town with plenty going on - especially the Saturday market. The Hotel Dieu is well worth a visit - so much history.

Dijon was an easy trip on the train and is also well worth a visit.

The local area is full of beautiful small villages whose names are all familiar to any wine lover.

Absolutely perfect

Really comfortable, very central and highly convenient for the Beaune early music festival, which is why we were there. But convenient for anything and everything in Beaune. Lack of a washing machine is the only potential problem, but we were just there for four days so it wasn't an issue. Highly recommended.

A Gem in the very heart of Beaune...

This place is an absolute gem. It was beautifully furnished, super clean, roomy, quiet and had every item a renter could possibly need. Within a day or so, we felt like at home. The location of the apartment could not be better - right in the heart of Beaune. We were steps away from the Market, where we bought the freshest produce... this was a lovely experience in and of itself. The Musee du Vin was at the end of our street, the Dali Museum was right in front of us and the Notre-Dame Church was within a one minute walk. Parking on the premises in a reserved spot in a private courtyard was fabulous. We will definitely be back in Beaune and we will surely book this place again.

Great flat, ideally located for exploring Beaune

The flat is situated in a lovely building and has parking which is a real bonus in Beaune. The property is well presented and fitted out. It's takes five minutes to walk into the centre of town.

Definitely a great find

The apartment is centrally located. It is spacious and quiet, andwell maintained. All amenities are are close by, including Cafes restaurants and bars and supermarket and of course wine merchants providing tastings. A secure car park is included. The host provides information sheets which are very helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.
