Wonderful View!

My boyfriend and I stayed for a week. We thought the room was nice and clean and the views from the balcony and bedroom window were fantastic! I enjoyed having the full kitchen and being able to cook meals and eating on the balcony. The leather chairs in the living room were very comfy To relax in. Dave and Karen were very nice and we will be back!

Shelia made sure my 40 th birthday was perfect..thank you dave for a perfect condo ..we loved it ..hope to come back next time with the kids ..and will only stay in one of your letting everyone i know to rent from you when they come to daytona beach. ...

Great time

We rented this condo for Bike Week 2015, we stayed 5 nights. It was great!! This is the cutest little condo that is perfect for two. Very nicely decorated, clean and well kept. Great views, close to everything. Neighbors all were friendly. BBQ area by the pool makes for a wonderful day relaxing after a week of busy, busy fun. Dave made the transaction very easy. I would rent this again if we were to go to Daytona again. Loved it!!

Bad need of renovating with a fantastic view.

We stayed in this unit for two months and have been at HBR several years with this being the first year we stayed in this particular unit. The ocean view from the living room and the bedroom makes this one of the best units at this location, however the unit itself is very outdated, in bad need of renovating and updating. We had many problems within the unit itself not the location. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with mold and stains in the bathtub from a long standing leak from the taps and in bad need of caulking around bathtub tiles. Indoor/outdoor green carpet throughout does not go with sand and beach. Kitchen utensils were very scarce or torn/worn and old. We had to go purchase our own. Fridge was freezing food in bottom or thawing freezer food if turned down. Bed was comfortable but bedding mattress cover was badly stained on our arrival. TV's didn't get same channels in each room and mentioned it to owner and he said "don't touch the TV's". The worst was the living room furnishings, lamps old and shades burnt, wicker chair is outdoor furniture, no coffee table or end tables, just one VERY UNCOMFORTABLE LOVESEAT that is old, worn, stained, cigarette burns, sunken in the middle. We suffered from back pain our whole stay. We left the unit as requested in the owners manual, however owner claims his cleaning lady said it was filthy, which is an insult and just a dig to the fact we did not leave her a tip. Owner also claimed we had caused damage in his unit which were untrue and was his attempt to not address our concerns. We had many visitors that were also staying at HRB view our unit and agreed it was in dire need of remodeling and updating. We will continue to stay at this wonderful resort, however we will not deal with this owner or stay at this unit again unless purchased by someone else and remodeled. This is our first negative review we have had to give in the eight years we have booked places with VRBO. We look forward to our return next year in a different unit.

( are you sure we are talking about the same unit ? ) When you arrived on Jan 2nd you found a standard ( Gratuity ) envelope with the following message to our arriving guests: "Have a wonderful time !!! .Relax and enjoy the Beach, Thank you ,Shelia(housekeeping ) If there is anything you need please call me @ xxx-xxx-xxxx . “ ( plus you have my number ). If the bathroom was so "absolutely disgusting" on arrival Jan 2nd why did you wait till March 1st to tell us about this condition ? You are obviously not a timid person. Had you just called me about this "disgusting mold" on Jan 2nd I would have went right over , fired the housekeeper , had the entire unit re cleaned and bought you lunch at Joe's Crab Shack with our sincerest apologies but you did not do that , you waited 58 days and after you damaged our mirrored closet door to tell us this. I do agree thou , the bathroom was absolutely disgusting March 2nd when you left it for us to clean. On Feb 10th you sent us this email : From: Debbie and Bob Sent: Tuesday, February 10, 2015 11:18 PM To: bluemule@ ( our email address ) Subject: Condo 814 Hi Dave and Karen We are really enjoying our stay at HRB unit 814 and I know it's may be a little late asking but by chance is this unit available until the end of March? We would like to stay 3 months. Also, we are looking for next winter and wonder is this unit available from Jan 1-March 31, 2016 and if so, what would be your rate? Thanks again Debbie and Bob ". ?? $ 312.45 is what you owe us for the Sliding Glass Mirrored Closet Door that you broke. If you have read this far , please don't let this review effect your decision to stay with us. I personally guarantee you will not be disappointed. Dave and Karen Hansen owner/operator of this unit since 2004. We have never had to "ban" anyone from our unit until now.

This is a Landmark resort recently undergone a full balcony rehab and seal coat entire property and new rooking , elevators and many upgrades to the property. The property itself is in an excellent location with regards to the Main Street/ Convention Center Entertainment District. If going out on the town , driving your vehicle is optional. If you know Daytona Beach you know that it is next to impossible to find any metered parking spaces on the street and that unmetered spaces are for the exclusive use of the local residents use only and subject to tickets and tow away. Your only option is to Park in the 8 story Municipal Parking Structure where you must pay to park , then take an elevator to the street ( A1A ) and then you still have about the same distance to walk to Main Street than if you just stayed at our place and left your car parked on the lot safe and sound. If you do have a drink with dinner , you don't have the responsibility of having a vehicle to be responsible for as you exit the Parking Structure and the Police are on the other side of the street watching people leave the parking Lot. Stay with us and you can walk carefree down the beach to your venue and more importantly back safe and sound in 10-15 minutes time . If you stay farther away from center city ( main Street ) you basically have to drive a car or taxi into the Entertainment area. The is also never any waiting to check in or check out ,, you just go directly up to your condo as owners do. The Convention Center , The Peabody , Performing Arts Center Daytona Pier ( newly rebuilt City Fishing Pier , and Boardwalk and Main Street are all within 1/2 mile of the property.
