We recently stayed at Hidden Garden Suite for 3 nights, and were pleased with all aspects of our stay. The location can't be beat. We were just a few minutes walk from everything. It was a 5-15 minute walk, at most, to every place we wanted to go, (with the exception of Ermilio's, which we highly recommend for dinner). We didn't get in our car the whole time except for nightly trips to Ermilio's. The property has a small, shaded private patio which is backed by a rock wall, keeping the temperature a good 5-10 degrees cooler than if you were out on the street. Though we were close to everything, including two nightclubs with live music, it was very quiet at night and we had no issues with noise during our stay. There is a small dorm-style refrigerator which was adequate for our wine and a few snacks. A coffee maker and filters were provided, but bring your own coffee. The suite is not "fancy Victorian" in decor, as is typical of many downtown accommodations; it was nicely decorated, and the furnishings were perfect for our needs. The bed (this is not a king size bed) was comfortable, and the bedding nice as well. For seating in the small living room area there is a love seat, which was fine for us. Downstairs is a small sundry store where we purchased a couple of items we forgot. Within a 5-15 minute walk we enjoyed drinks at the Basin Park Hotel, dancing at Chelsea's, breakfast at Mud Street Cafe, lunches at Aquarius Taqueria. If you go all the way to the Taqueria end of Main Street, treat yourself to a shaded, quiet, interesting walk back on Armstrong Street; its much quieter, more peaceful than trekking down Main Street, and you can look at interesting Eureka homes on the way. We will stay at Hidden Garden Suite again and would recommend it to our friends. The location really can't be beat. (The only 2 possible criticisms we have are (1) Glasses were provided, but no wine glasses. Champagne glasses, but no wine glasses. (2) The bedroom closet had a lot of stuff piled up on the floor. Neither of these issues were a problem for us, but in the spirit of full disclosure....)
This Main Street suite in this late 1800's building was nicely located and accommodatingly priced for out 4 night stay in this charming old Ozark town. The suite itself was somewhat worn out with missing light bulbs and a sagging mattress but had a wonderful jacuzzi to rest the aching muscles after a day of walking the hills of the town or hiking around a nearby lake.
We were so pleased with our quaint apartment. It was clean comfortable and perfect location. We enjoyed a delicious gourmet meal right across the street at the Grand Hotel. We were able to park our car and walk to all the shops and restaurants.
We spent a lot of our time on the patio having early morning coffee or late night wine and cheese. Private enough to not feel like you are on the street.
The only thing missing was Kleenex and more hand towels. The jacuzzi tub was an added feature to a perfect stay in beautiful Eureka Springs.
