Cozy, clean and close to everything!

  • 4 of 5

Sue is a wonderful host. She met us on schedule and gave us a tour and some wonderful tips on the neighbourhood. The area has many great coffee shops, restaurants and funky little shops. We loved walking around and exploring.

The house was so comfortable, fully equipped and beautifully decorated. The space was extremely functional. We had everything we needed including parking!

The house backs onto railroad tracks and we could hear trains but it wasn't extremely loud.

I will definitely rent again the next time I visit Hamilton.

Thanks for everything Sue!

Perfect Little Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Super homey! Has everything you need. Cute backyard to hangout and enjoy the weather in. Beautiful inside - such a comfortable space. Neighbors are super friendly. Sue makes everything welcoming and easy! It's right next to a little downtown area with cafes and little shops and even a natural food store. Highly recommend the Democracy cafe. We had an amazing stay. So thankful to have found this place. Will definitely stay again if we're ever in the area.

Wonderful house and location!

  • 5 of 5

The house was in a great location (close to shops/cafes and between Niagara Falls & Toronto) and had everything we needed for our stay (hair dryer, ironing board, dishes, pots/pans, towels, etc). We all felt right at home when we got back for the day... it was a great alternative to a hotel. The owner was great and very friendly.

Great house with everything you need.

  • 4 of 5

I had a 12 day stay with my two children and it was ideal for our needs. The house was clean, well furnished and in a great location. Each part of the house had everything we needed for our prolonged stay and Sue, our host was very kind and hospitable providing all our essentials and helping us out with useful information upon our arrival.

There is a train line passing by at the rear of the house but the noise is minimal and you soon get used to it.

Locke street, literally just around the corner, is a nice part of Hamilton with a couple of good restaurants, including pizzeria NaRoma and the delightful bistrot Brux house, which also serves some lovely craft beers.

A 10 minute walk takes you to the Go transit station where you can take buses and trains to Toronto or Niagara falls.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and well laid out, and it was walking distance from practically everywhere you would want to go in Hamilton. We would recommend this house to anyone interested in the area.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this house for five nights and really enjoyed our stay. The house is bright, spacious and very clean. It had everything we needed- a full kitchen, study desk, two comfortable bedrooms, bathroom, washer & dryer. Sue provided nice touches to the house- I especially loved the soft blankets that made the place very cozy. The best part was the lovely outdoor space- it's bright and private. It was the perfect place for an afternoon lunch in the sunshine or unwinding with a book in the evening. The house is located less than a minute's walk from Locke Street- a fantastic location to be. Locke Street has a great local meat shop, Oh Goodness Me (natural foods store-awesome store!), gelato, plenty of cute cafes, The Finch (highly recommend this cute local coffee shop). We really enjoyed walks around the neighborhood which has a unique array of older, unique homes. A walk on Saturday morning down Locke St. was nice- lots of young families and pups out for a walk and brunch. Also, for any student in town to tour McMaster University, this house is about a 10 minute drive. The only downside was the loud train that ran several times through the night which was quite disruptive. Other than that, our experience was great.
