Beautiful Home and perfect location

  • 4 of 5

Being close to the attractions we wanted to see made this location perfect. Nice neighborhood. Easy access to the major freeways. Enjoyed being able to cook breakfast each morning before we headed out on our adventures.

Great home base for a week of D.C. sight seeing.

  • 4 of 5

We had a great week here. The house was perfect for a week of sight seeing. The three bedrooms were just right for our family of two parents and two teenagers. We ate breakfast in the kitchen before heading out for the day. We found the proximity to D.C. and even took a day trip to Annapolis. The quiet suburban neighborhood was perfect.

Safe, family-friendly home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six stayed 7 nights and had a great experience. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had salt, pepper, oil, dish soap, dish machine soap, etc. which was convenient. We cooked several meals without any problems. It was a short drive to the metro. We had a problem running out of hot water at first, but it became less of an issue with some planning and directions to the kids to not turn the hot water all the way up before adding cold water. Our teenage daughter chose to claim the downstairs basement as her en suite bedroom and was visited by a few cave crickets though none were seen on the main level. We would happily stay here again. It was an excellent place to crash and spread out at the end of a day of sight-seeing in DC.

Perfect for our family DC trip

  • 5 of 5

We were extremely pleased with our choice of this very nice home for our week visiting DC. The master suite was excellent, two additional bedrooms and bath were ample, the kitchen and family room are fabulous for the purpose and were heavily used. We enjoyed the enclosed porch a few evenings and also the patio and back yard (pretty sure I saw a fox run through in the dark). Laundry facilities and parking are fine. We totally avoided the nicely-appointed formal living and dining rooms, but this area would be popular for mature adult gatherings. The location is great, and we much preferred this trip and accommodations with a rental minivan compared to previous trips with multiple DC hotel rooms and Metro passes. Having the van (and a comfortable, secure place to park) allowed us to make a road trip to Rehoboth Beach, DE (107 miles in about 3 hours). It was a fabulous March day at the beach - always a treat for citizens from Flyover country. A trip to the Smithsonian Air & Space at Dulles was also easy. We highly recommend this property, and hope to be able to visit DC again fairly soon, and will reserve again if available. Thanks and Best Wishes, Susan and Tim
