Great home!

  • 5 of 5

This place was fantastic because:

1 - The location- We spent a week in the area and I do not believe that there is a better place as a home base in the Dordogne Valley than Sarlat. In addition, Sarlat has a unique charm - not too big, not too small - and picture perfect beautiful! The home is located maybe 1 km from the center of town on a hill. Our family of five were able to walk to and from town without problems (although it is a little steep in spots - the locals are walking it) - and that going to and from town is scenic as well.

2- The House - A great, very clean and roomy house. It has a big backyard that worked well for kicking a ball around, watching sunsets, bird-watching, and just hanging out. The owners really keep it clean and nice. The bathroom, shower, clothing washer, dishwasher, oven and fridge all work great. The house stays cool (it is made of thick traditional rock walls) on hot days.

3- The owner - Elizabeth was very attentive and kind. She does not speak much english, but we had a french speaker with us which worked well. She is very kind, attentive and seems to love sharing the quaint comfort of this great find.

  • 5 of 5

impression assez mauvaise.

  • 1 of 5

  • 5 of 5
