About Dondi Pierpont

Hi! We are a family of six from SE Washington. We run a couple of campgrounds/RV parks: one named Tamarack RV Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and the other, Beach RV Park in Benton City, Washington. We love traveling, camping, and sailing.

Dondi Pierpont purchased this studio in 1999

Why Dondi Pierpont chose Idaho

This vacation studio is on Government Way in Coeur d'Alene, in a prime location across from Costco, Black Sheep Warehouse, and Safeway. It's centrally located between Lake CDA and the town of Hayden Lake. We love the water of the lake, and the convenience of the surrounding shops and stores! The Hangar sits right in the middle of Tamarack RV Park (which we own), so it was natural for us to offer this studio to guests who enjoy the comforts of kitchen and couch and patio when traveling.

What makes this studio unique

With The Hangar, you can enjoy the quaint, brickstone Camper Patio with picnic tables and flower planters, in the center of our Tamarack RV Park. It is a comfortable gathering place for your family or group. Enjoy cooking on the BBQ grill or watching the goldfish in their pond with a waterfall.

The Hangar condo is also a great jump-off location for exploring Silverwood Theme Park 15 miles to the north. Or drive east to Kellogg, Idaho, to enjoy a gondola ride up the hill to silver mines and explore an old west town! Farragut State Park is also close by.

Bad

First place they put us the heater in fronto room did not work, we had to ask for pillow cases as there were none, table in kitchen was broken, ceiling fan did not work,we had to go out to buy a can opener so we could cook in the kitchen. After complaining they moved us to a better spot but I would not recommend them at all.

Clean, quiet room nstled in a packed RV Park

  • 4 of 5

We were impressed with how nice and clean the room was. It was a bit hard to find as the RV park was very full (though not noisy. We barely saw anyone). Be sure to check the main signboard at the entrance for a paper with your last name on it for instructions.

WiFi instructions were confusing and we never got it figured out. Otherwise, had a nice stay.

A cozy little studio

  • 3 of 5

We didn't know what to expect, but we're pleasantly surprised. We don't spend a lot of time where we sleep, so we often gamble with lower priced options. We stayed here because of the proximity to Silverwood. All kinds of close by shopping and eats. One concern was that the blinds have a large gap that provide an uncomfortable view of the bed from the outside...just hung a towel to block it. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Find!

  • 4 of 5

We were the first family to stay at this rental after it had been remodeled. It came with a queen bed, TV, DVD player, queen couch hide-a-bed, table/chairs, refrigerator, microwave, stove and a bathtub shower combo. It doesn't provide much for cooking utensils though. There were 5 of us staying in the studio apartment which was a bit crowded for a family of five but none the less cozy. The park manager Dondi was very nice and accomodating to any requests we had. When we come back to visit Idaho, we will definitely be staying here. The park is very well maintained and very close to downtown. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone!
