Affordable Luxury! You will enjoy staying in this very clean, and well cared for spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo with such easy access to the beach and walking trails. This condo is a single level on the ground floor with no stairs to climb ...the perfect space for your family and friends. The Lanai faces West so you will be able to see the sunsets. There are no buildings, traffic or people to look onto, only a private 'Preserve' where you can sit and hear the birds and get the scenic view of a Lava Tube directly in front. Just outside the entry gate of Palm Villas you can take a walking trail through the ""Preserve" and get to the scenic ponds and ocean in about 8-10 minutes. You will be provided with the Owners and Guests BEACH CLUB CARD which gives you special parking privileges and easier access to the special Mauna Lani Beach Club and "Napua" Cafe/Restaurant. (see pictures within this site.) This is one of the best beaches around for snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking.
The spacious master bedroom has a comfortable King Bed and adjacent master bath with over sized soaking tub plus a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom features a Queen bed and the 3rd bedroom is set up with twin beds. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share the second bath with a shower/tub combination. All rooms have ceiling fans to capture the tropical breeze and there is also Central Air Available in the condo. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV as well as one in the Living Area. (4 TV's Total) There is seating at the dining table for 5 with additional seating available via the kitchen bar area which has 2 bar stools. The lanai features a table and 4 chairs with a private grassy area out front. You will have access to the detached garage which has snorkel equipment, beach chairs and a ice chest/cooler. You will also be supplied with plenty of beach towels. Ladies will appreciate that there is a hair dryer in the condo.
You can BBQ at the Recreation "Hale" which is just steps away near the pool area. At the Recreation center there is an "outdoor" kitchen with sink and Refrigerator as well as plenty of seating should you want to BBQ near the pool area and relax in the tropical setting. Palm Villas features one of the best resort style pools around with adjacent spa and a waterfall you can actually sit under.
The owners have provided a land line inside the condo with unlimited calls to the mainland and Canada. There is also wireless internet so you can keep in touch with home and business.
Our condo is serviced by an on-site manager and Real Estate Company, Kohala Estate Realty, complete with cleaning and maintenance personnel. You can rest assured you will enjoy your vacation in this great location.

Our family of five had a great visit at Palm Villas. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. The access to the Beach Club was key. We would definitely stay there again.
Cindi has thought of just about everything. This place is more reasonably priced than the nearby Villages at Mauna Lani and it has the same number of bedrooms plus it’s closer to the private beach. In fact you can walk the paths by the lava tunnels and fish ponds. Walking distance to the local grocer, too. Fantastic place!
Impeccably maintained, conveniently located, and affordable!
Our family of 6 loved our stay at the Palm Villas. The complex is well-maintained and the unit is quiet, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. There was plenty of room and the private garage (with beach chairs, snorkel equipment, a double stroller, and boogie boards) was a plus. The kids loved being able to dash out of the condo and go to the complex's pool and hot tub. There are great walking paths right outside the condo and it's a pleasant, rolling 10 minute walk through the lava fields to the Mauna Lani fish ponds. This complex is also within a 5 minute drive of all the other amenities of the Kohala resort area, including all the restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended.
We had a great time and were very happy with the condo and the resort. We have stayed at the Mauna Lani before so it felt like home being on the property again. The condo was perfect with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and a nice big refrigerator that made lots of ice! Plenty of extras included and we left two new boogie boards so now there's more! We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was great.
My only complaints are that we had two cars and it was hard to find parking within the Palm Villa complex and we missed having our own BBQ on the porch. Might also be nice to have a short, retractable clothes line on the patio for those wet suits and beach towels!
If you stay here, or at one of the other properties, be sure to check out the beaches and snorkeling areas over by the hotel also. Mighty nice! Go to Hapuna Beach Park for boogie boarding and down to Ho'okena Beach Park, down the island a bit, for tide pooling, a picnic and a change of scene. Enjoy!
Great condo, great location, great value!
Our family of five stayed at this condo for 10 days. As indicated in previous reviews, this unit continues to be immaculate, well appointed, ideally located on the resort premises. Leasing/management/maintenance staff all very accommodating, accessible and professional integrity (promptly notified and returned personal items upon our departure). Several other family members leased larger homes in Fairways -- this location far surpasses those properties in particular because of value and walking access to resort lava fields, fish ponds, and beach. We will definitely seek this unit upon any future return to this amazing Big Island.
You will be provided with the Mauna Lani Beach Club pass which gives you easy access (5 min drive or 10 min walk) to one of the most beautiful snorkeling and swimming beaches around. You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear. Also close to many other great beaches like Hapuna Beach, Kaunoa Beach at Mauna Kea and Beach 69. The Shops at Mauna Lani are also within walking distance where you can enjoy free Polynesian dance shows every Tues and Thurs.
