About the property

Nestled between the bluff and short distance to Bay

NEW LISTING! Available for vacation rental starting in June 2015. Additional pictures will be added in early May.

Our cedar log home is nestled between the bluff and just a short distance to the waters of the bay and wonderful sunsets. Located on a quiet 2 acre wooded lot, it is truly a beautiful location to spend time with family and friends.

Pine floors, hand-peeled half cedar log interior walls, knotty pine ceilings, handcrafted reclaimed barn wood kitchen cabinets, reclaimed barn wood dining table, Corian countertops and tasteful décor throughout the home add the elements that will ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable.

The home accommodates up to 8 guests and includes two bedrooms plus a very large loft, 2 full baths, laundry room, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with Jotul wood stove. A king size bed with reclaimed wood headboard is located in the master bedroom upstairs. A beautiful log staircase leads to the loft area which has a trundle day bed (additional roll out bed under day bed) and fold out couch which sleeps two. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed with reclaimed wood headboard as well.

Relax on the covered front porch with your morning coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine while listening to the beautiful sounds of Mother Nature. There are stone walkways and borders created with materials from the land. Daylilies, astilbe, sedum, vinca and lamiun abound during the warmer months. A fire pit prompts story telling and will ensure lasting memories.

A full boat landing is just a five minute drive up the road. Two great eighteen-hole golf courses and one twenty seven-hole course are within a relaxing ten minute drive through Door County's back road beauty.

Great Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a girls weekend and had a fantastic time! The house was the perfect size for our group and everyone loved the fire pit and fully stocked kitchen. We would definitely come back!

Great stay

Very clean. Very quiet. This is an amazingly well kept property that was the perfect spot for our Door County Half Iron Man weekend. Everything was great. Beds were super comfortable and clean. We will be coming back!

Charming, cozy, and tucked away

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in this cabin. It was at the southern end of DC, but it was away from all of the hustle and bustle. Four adults fit comfortably and everything was clean. We have used vrbo a few times in the past and this was our favorite stay.

Amazing place

  • 5 of 5

The log cabin was beautiful and the view from the front porch with gardens and wildflowers was breathtaking. And so private. I would love to stay there again. The only problem I had was no connectivity for my ATT phone which is ATT's fault, not the cabin.

Really pretty in fall!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is cozy and elegant. The location is really quiet and there's a lot of wildlife roaming around. It's a peaceful and isolated place to retire after a day of crowded tasting rooms.

House was adequate for 3 day stay. Beautiful setting, although quite dark because of the tree canopy

  • 3 of 5

Price for 3 nights I was ok with. Being asked to bring our own towels, firewood, and toilet paper was "curious"! Toilet paper? Oddly, there had to be at least 2 full cords of cut, aged, and stacked wood at the home.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying at our log home! Just wanted to respond to a couple of things: As stated in the information outline before guests arrive, we do have plenty of quality firewood for indoor fireplace but do not provide for outdoor firepit. Also, we do ask (not required) if guests can bring at least one towel to use during the stay; with groups of 4 or more, the amount of linens, towels, etc. pile up and it can impact check in times of next guests. Ah yes, toilet paper. We provide a couple of rolls for each bathroom and ask guests to bring additional. When guests book with us, we provide an overview of all items provided. My best to you.
