This is a charming rooftop apartment in the "Parisian's Paris". This delightful residential neighborhood offers specialty food stores, cafes and restaurants close by, not to mention the bustling street markets. The nearby Rue du Commerce is a veritable village within Paris! The famous supermarket and bakery of Grenelle is only a 10 minutes walk away. A direct metro takes you to the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees, Musee d'Orsay, Opera, and Bastille. It's only 15 minutes to the Eiffel Tower, Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, Ile de la Cite the Louvre, and much more!
New York architects renovated and designed this space for their own occasional use. Not surprisingly it has been ingeniously used to make a sunny, very livable apartment. It has white painted walls and simple but modern furnishings. The cupboard-lined entrance hall widens out into a dining area and then into a small but well equipped kitchen with dishwasher.
The living room features a polished wood floor, a comfortable double sofa bed, and a TV.
The bedroom has twin beds the can be combined to make a king-size bed.
The kitchen has a gas cook-top, dishwasher, microwave oven, and a clothes washer/dryer.There is also a dining table and chairs in the kitchen area.
The bathroom has a tub and shower attachment; the toilet is separate. A washing machine and dryer are also available.
The apartment has gas central heating.
I stayed in this beautiful apartment on my first visit to Paris. I initially thought I should have stayed someplace closer to "the attractions" but I'm so glad I didn't. It's a lovely neighborhood where real people live and shop and very convenient to transportation. I loved that it was an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower. The apartment is on the top floor and gets light from two directions making it very bright and cheery. I loved looking out and seeing the rooftops at night. I was a solo traveler, but it would have easily accommodated more people. I really appreciated convenience of the washer and dryer--what a luxury. The apartment was very clean upon arrival and coordination with the person with the keys was easy (I speak about 4 words of French). I would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed here on our 3rd trip to Paris, and it was by far the best time we had. In this apartment, we could pretend we were Parisians for a week! The neighborhood felt wonderfully authentic and not at all touristy. We could blend in and enjoy all the little bakeries, fromageries, brasseries, fish mongers, etc. (and there was a detailed binder in the apartment with local recommendations). We were just a few blocks away from the metro, and could easily explore other neighborhoods and get to all the sites. Watching the sun go down from the apartment windows, over those endless rooftops and chimneys, is a vision I hope to have with me for a long time!
I was extremely glad to get this here! It was my first trip with my wife in Paris & We were worried about where we stay. And we got this paradise, wow its just mind-blowing! We stayed at the top floor, so we enjoyed all the city from there at night. I personally so much pleased with it! The apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable! I will must back here when I come to paris!
This apartment was perfect for our stay in Paris! A block away from the metro and minutes from all attractions, yet conveniently tucked away on a quiet side street. With a supermarket, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants right around the corner, we had everything we needed. An elevator made it easy with our luggage. The apartment itself was cozy and comfortable. Wifi was useful for planning our daily excursions and washer and dryer made it so we could clean our clothes and not have to pack as much. The beautiful mantle, large windows and rooftop views really added to our Paris experience! I definitely recommend staying at this apartment if you plan on visiting Paris. A+
