Why Alexis chose Amsterdam City Centre
I fell in love with this city 18 years ago, especially with the Jordaan area. I started some 10 years ago to renovate this 115 years old storehouse into a warm home. As I lived in this house and area for over 20 years I can advise and suggest you places, bars and restaurants in and around town that are not in any tourist-guide. I hope you will enjoy your stay in this beautiful city!

Exceeded our expectations!
My family was so well taken care of we didn’t want to leave! The house itself had tons of character. Perfect location for walking to the sites we wanted to visit, while still giving the local neighborhood vibe. We loved it!
Lovely Property/Great Location
Alexis was a wonderful host, and his home is in a perfect location for sightseeing around the major Amsterdam sights. Our family of four has a great time and loved that we were so close to multiple tram stops and could also walk to so many sights. Alexis also was quick to respond to our questions and left us some welcome treats which was really appreciated. Thanks!
Exceptional accomodations near everything!
Truly one of the best in Amsterdam. Unique and tastefully decorated. Sits on a quiet street with easy walks to the Centrum and Jordaan district. Everything is for the consideration of the guests. Everything you need. We hope to return!
Enjoyed every minute in this authentic, charming house. And Alexis is a terrific host, who was quickly responsive with questions and tips.
Alexis and his apartment were above s d beyond every expectation!
We can't say enough about what an incredibly gracious host Alexis is, and how lovely, unique (to Americans) and gezellig (cozy) the apartment is. It is located in the Jordaan, our favorite neighborhood in Amsterdam, on a quiet street, yet close to the Anne Frank House, Tulip Museum, and other attractions you don't want to miss. We love Amsterdam, and hope to stay with Alexis again when we return!
The Jordaan is undoubtedly the most famous neighborhood of the Netherlands. Started as a district for the poor, today it is a favorite place for students, artists and young professionals. Nowadays this area is well known for its boutique shops, coffee bars and small restaurants. All touristic highlights are within a 30-45 min walk. Dam square 5 minutes walk. Anne Frank house is 2 minutes walk.
