We love our enchanting little cottage, tucked behind a row of bamboo right downtown. Tile mosaics throughout make this cozy house a work of art. A wild, fenced-in backyard gives the feel of the woods, yet you're a 5 minute walk from all the restaurants, shops, & theaters of Historic Downtown Lewisburg. Plus, Infrared Sauna!! Simple, clean, comfortable, and colorful, we guarantee you'll find no other house like it. The sauna room contains a futon that sleeps two more people.

My boyfriend and I are both artists (violinist and oil painter) in Lewisburg, WV. We have a charmingly unusual house in a great location. We rent it out as a private cottage, and move out for the dates that we book it. We bought an infrared sauna for the health benefits last year, so our guests get full access to that during their stay.
Mary Hurst and Russell Fallstad purchased this house in 2014
This property immediately won us over with its unique combination of a downtown location, a naturally serene backyard, and beautifully expressive mosaic art built in by the previous owners, who are also artists.
This is a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. The owners provide a neat, clean cottage. Excellent location for visiting Lewisburg, WV.
2 long time friends living states apart got together for a "Girl's Weekend" to celebrate birthdays and friendship and for this a hotel room was not good enough. I found this little gem of a cottage in Lewisburg with tons of personality and very close to downtown restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch and talking for hours and then spent a luxurious day at the Salt Cave & Spa followed by a night on the town. The cottage was filled with amenities and we didn't even miss having a tv. It helped make our weekend great and we look forward to returning next year.
The Artist's Cottage is just that! Each day I was surprised to discover something new in Mary's artwork.
The cottage is very welcoming and our hosts could not have been more accommodating and gracious.
We found the cottage very clean and amenities many. There were plenty of towels, comfortable beds and cozy furniture. The kitchen was well equipped with a good selection of cookware and new appliances.
The cottage is conveniently located as described in the Overview. The WV STATE FAIRGROUND is only a short drive away.
We were very pleased to have found such a peaceful oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of FAIR week.
We loved staying at the cottage in Lewisburg. It had a very interesting layout and beautiful mosaic tiling everywhere. It was perfect for a weekend trip!
My husband and I rented this property because it was a good price and we prefer having the kitchen amenities (over a hotel) so we don't have to eat out every meal. The house was tidy but, because of how the sunroom (with screened windows and no glass panes) connects to the rest of the living space, we didn't feel there was sufficient security for leaving our belongings there while we were gone during the day. Also, make sure you notice there is no TV or way to watch movies, etc. at the property, in case that is an issue for you.
