Perfect location and size!

  • 5 of 5

We had a really nice stay at the condo. The location was perfect being about 5 minute walk to the lionshead gondola, and maybe a 15 miniute walk to Vail village. We would definitely stay here again!

Very small with too much clutter

  • 2 of 5

First off, the location was great. Right by Lionshead main gate, parking garage and the shuttle bus stop. Great restaurants and shops practically next door. However, for 5 adults and 2 children it was just too tight - the living room area was tiny -only a couch for 3 and a recliner, the other chair was straight back and not for relaxing - so we ended up using the dining table area when hanging out at night. (But you can't see the TV from there.) The toaster didn't work, burned one side and left other side untoasted. Crazy small kitchenette. The two double beds were old and mattresses sunk in the middle. My daughter said they were very uncomfortable. Up a steep flight of stairs was the loft which was comfy and roomy with a deck off of it. However the ceiling fan didn't work so my other daughter hauled a stand up fan up there. Lots of fans were provided, thankfully, b/c this condo has no A/C. We were there over the Fourth so it was quite warm. When we arrived there were little decorative pieces on every surface (nightstands, tables, shelves) so I just stored them in drawers to make room for our own stuff (toiletries, food in kitchen which had no cabinet for food, travel items). On our 3rd day our sheets were changed, however they put a double fitted sheet onto our Queen in the master and my husband foot kept getting caught where the pocket popped up bc it didn't fit over the corner of the mattress. It was obvious it wasn't the right sheet but housekeeping did it anyway. We had to call to get the right size put on, and we were specific about the Master Queen, but they came in while we were away and changed the double beds! So late at night, the next day, they finally came (we were at the fireworks display) and simply dropped the sheets off on the bench in the hallway. We still had a great family vacation, but I'd say this condo fits 4 adults max with maybe 2 small kids bc of the living area seating. Also owner should de-clutter this small space and make room in kitchen for food storage. Replace the toaster. Fix the ceiling fan, get new double beds in the 2nd bedroom.

Ladies weekend in Vail

  • 4 of 5

We rented this unit for a ladies weekend in the mountains. There were 5 of us. Condo was very convenient to town. We were able to easily walk to restaurants and the Vail Art Festival was right outside. The layout of the condo was perfect as we were all able to have our own beds and plenty of bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The condo had new flooring on the main level and new toilets had just been put in the day we arrived. The only reason it was not rated a 5 star is that the kitchen was small. Appliances were small also. We couldn't fit the dinner plates in the dishwasher and because it was so small we ended up having to wash many of the dishes by hand. Had a burner on the stove that was overheating but reported it to maintenance and I assume it was fixed after we checked out. Despite the small kitchen we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Price was reasonable for location and being Vail. Booking and check in was a breeze. Loved all the info/emails from Berkshire Hathaway about anything we needed to know re: the condo. Would rent this unit again.

It fulfilled all your needs

  • 4 of 5

The major asset is the location. You are really close to the Gondola at Lions Head. Two times during our stay we have problems with the elevator that didn´t work. Beside that no problem at all. The apartment has two rooms with bathrooms and a third open space with access through stairs to a bunk beds with a bathroom. It fits perfect to us. The living/dining and kitchen are not quite big but cozy. Overall a very good experience. It lack of a place to leave your boots and skies so you have to take them into the aprt. but it has a space to put them without occupying space. The furniture and bathrooms are ok but not 5 stars.
