About Deena Kestler

Hello! We are Gary and Deena Kestler. We have always felt like divine intervention brought us together thru our kids. We are literally the Brady Bunch. 3 girls were Deena’s and 2 of the 3 Boys were Gary’s. (6 kids and 5 grandkids) We live in Las Vegas. Deena was born and raised there and Gary originally from Louisville, KY.

Deena Kestler purchased this cabin in 1998

Why Deena Kestler chose Meadow View Heights

I have owned property at Duck Creek for 25 years. After my first wife passed away from breast cancer, it was difficult for me and my 2 boys to relive the memories in the cabin we had. I went looking for a new family getaway. When I saw this cabin, I went around back and stood on the deck. The view was all it took to sell me on the place. I called the realtor and I bought it without even looking inside. For the last 17 years we have enjoyed this special place. We hope you will enjoy our Cabin and make some memories for your family as well.

What makes this cabin unique

Everyone that comes to our cabin remarks about how comfortable it is. One of my favorite things is the swing out front hanging between 2 pine trees. It’s so relaxing. We have lots of wild life visitors. Birdfeeders on the deck bring Blue Jays and other mountain birds. Wild turkeys roam thru the yard as well as deer, squirrels and chipmunks. It’s quiet but yet just minutes from the village for shopping or restaurants.

Exceeded our expectations

  • 5 of 5

Can't beat it if you are looking to visit Bryce & Zion National Parks on the same trip. The cabin provides an amazing overlook of a beautiful meadow. Every day we saw deer on or around the cabin. The cabin itself has everything you need. We didn't even get to the playroom downstairs. Don't plan on driving Highway 14 to return to the cabin at night. We saw multiple deer during the day on/around the road. But we plan to go back. Wi-Fi is excellent--reaches the fire pit in front where we ended up every night.

Above the valley

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is well located on the hill with an outstanding view on the valley. On the road to Duck Creek Village we've counted at least 35 deer every day we've past the road. It's a very quiet environment. Duck Creek Village is a nice small village. When you arrive in the evening don't forget to bring your own food because there's no supermarket in the village. The closest supermarket is in Cedar City, 30 miles away.

We've visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Bryce is awesome, we're still wondering the astonishing views in this canyon. Of all what we've seen in our holiday, this canyon is no. 1. Zion is also nice and we've partly climbed Angels Landing, our sons did the complete climb. Be aware this mountain is a very dangerous one. It's no. 6 on America's most dangerous hikings.

Looking back we've enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We were happy to have a 4WD for the last 200 yrds. Those were quite challenging.
