Other features include an 18th C. ceramic, wood burning stove, exposed beams, stressed wooden floors, and radiant heating in the shale bathroom floor. A small, well appointed kitchen is bathed by sunlight through three French doors. The kitchen offers select coffee roasted daily- burr ground- Dutch dripped. Make your own juice with the famous Universal juicer, and cook or bake with the six burner Garland oven. All normal cookware is supplied.
The winding stair and solarium balcony were designed and hand forged by internationally renowned artist R. Jaqua. The bathtub is designed for two adults to soak side by side. The deck off the kitchen sits six.There are two bedrooms upstairs with a queen bed each, one features a hand wrought frame by Jaqua. There is a third queen bed in a loft space between the bedrooms, and a fourth queen Lazyboy pullout in the living room (custom 4 inch compressed foam mattress=very comfortable). There are two twin beds in a third, kids bedroom in the open, sunny basement that is exposed to the sunlight coming through the glass walled solarium. The house is designed with multiple sitting or resting nooks that encourage those wonderful, quiet moments.The lawn is big enough for an official sized croquet court. A favorite spot in the back yard is a sitting bench with its own wood burning stove.
