About The Owner

I have lived in Mystic for 23 years and would love to help you plan your trip! I bought my house 2 years ago, it was one of the fastest purchases I have ever made...I just knew it was the right place! I love my home and its location. It is newly renovated and I have decorated it with lovely art and artifacts from my travels around the world. I plan on doing some traveling, which is why I am looking to rent my home when I am not in town. You won't be disappointed, it is a special place!

The Owner purchased this house in 2013

Why The Owner chose Connecticut

Aside from the coziness and cool decor, it has beautiful views of the Mystic River from the front porch, living room and master bedroom. The Mystic Seaport is across the street and you can watch historic sailboats being refurbished from the porch. Walking in town to shop or dine is an easy 5 min walk along the river. From town, you can access the scenic River Rd., known as a cycling, jogging and walking trail to locals. If you are more inclined to walking in the woods, The Pequotsepos Nature Center is about a 10 min walk away, which offers miles of walking trails, as does the Coogan Farm, a 10 min walk to the trailhead from my house, in the other direction.

What makes this house unique

You can walk from the Amtrak train station in Mystic to this house. It is about a 10 min walk. I supply bikes and kayaks. At the end of my street, one house away from mine, is a boat launch, where you can easily launch one of three kayaks (2 single and 1 double), and you can paddle up and down the Mystic River. You can even paddle downtown for lunch!

Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing house and amazing weekend! The location was excellent and allowed us to walk into town easily for food and drink. Beautifully updated home that balances the modern needs of today with character and personality like no other. Water views from several of the rooms in the home and cottage. Dana was also great to deal with, very responsive and everything went smoothly. I will definitely be visiting Mystic and this beautiful home again in the future!

New Year's Eve in Mystic

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time visiting Mystic with 5 adults and 3 kids. The location can't be beat - easy walk to downtown and steps to Mystic Seaport (we could see the Mayflower in the Seaport shipyard from the table while eating breakfast). We enjoyed the ability to explore the Seaport for a few hours at a time (tickets are good for two days), walk back, have lunch, etc. Being in Mystic in the off season was nice because the Seaport and Aquarium were relatively quiet. The house + guesthouse worked well for our group. The house was well maintained and had everything we needed. We would definitely come back again.

Wonderful 10 Days in Mystic

  • 5 of 5

My family and I are originally from the area but have been on the west coast for 15 years. We arrived for a family wedding and loved the home and property. We kayaked (very short walk to the Mystic river) several times and really enjoyed the home. It has a very eclectic and interesting décor and made one feel at home the minute you arrived. The home is a short walk to downtown Mystic where there are interesting shops, restaurants and bars. The guest house was perfect for our 2 adult sons. Would rent again!!!
