The apartment consists of an entrance hall leading to a bedroom with twin beds. There is a separate toilet and a shower room. Next door is the main living area, comprising comfortable seating including a double sofabed, a dining table with seven chairs, and a kichen area. There is access to the balcony with seating. On the opposite side of the living room, well separated from the twin bedroom, a door leads to the master double (super king) bedroom which has its own en-suite bathroom including a shower over the bath.

The kitchen includes a hob, full oven and microwave oven as well as the normal cooking equipment.

Duvets are provided for all beds including the sofabed - 2 x double + 2 x single. Clean bed linen (sheets, duvet covers, 6 pillowcases) will be provided for all. Towels are provided for 6 persons - 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel each. 1 bath mat is provided for each bathroom. 1 tea towel is provided for the kitchen. Small 'starter kits' are provided for bathroom toiletries and kitchen cleaning. Preparation of the apartment and cleaning at the end of your stay are included in the rental price.

When we started renting the apartment ourselves, we modified the kitchen to make the worktops more useable. We also installed a new Samsung 40 inch HD TV with a subscription to Netflix, and our own dedicated broadband WiFi so the problems of sharing P&V's overcrowded WiFi are now history.

It's now our second year listing here. This is your chance for a real bargain, with sensible discounts from the tour operators prices.

We have owned this apartment from new, but in common with most owners at Arc 1950 we leased it to P & V and we were restricted to skiing for only 2 weeks per year. Happily now for the first time last winter season 2016-17 our apartment was available to rent for the whole 19 weeks, apart from the weeks when our friends and family were out in the Village enjoying the snow!

About Richard

I am co-owner of the apartment with my three adult children who inherited my late wife's share 10 years ago. We have enjoyed skiing in Arc1950 ever since our apartment was completed in time for the 2004/5 season, and love going back when we can. Until 2015-16 our apartment was leased to the main operator at Arc1950, Pierre et Vacances (PnV). We decided that we would like more choice, and more weeks for ourselves, our family and friends. And of course also for other guests who are interested in renting directly from us, knowing exactly which apartment they will be staying in.

Richard purchased this apartment in 2003

Why Richard chose Bourg-Saint-Maurice

The apartment is on the second floor of the Prince des Cimes building. The operator PnV has found that this building continues to attract high demand, not least because of the large swimming pool where you can venture through a curtain and swim outside too. One frustration until we took on marketing our apartment ourselves was the very flaky WiFi generally provided by the building operator. We have had our own line installed so the apartment now has a separate private broadband link with WiFi. And having done that, we decided that a new 40 inch HD TV with a Netflix subscription would complete the package, so we hope you'll enjoy that too.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment faces the village square, so you can look down from the warm while the ski school classes assemble. There's always something interesting to watch, but we have never had a noise problem as the bars and restaurants are far enough away not to bother us. We are actually directly above the bakery, though sadly we don't get any baking aromas. I have often thought that it would be great if we could arrange to lower a basket for our morning croissants or baguette!

Perfect location right in the middle of 1950 overlooking the village.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Loads of room and great facilities in the building - pool, sauna etc. Ski in and out, restaurants and supermarket right outside. Hope to return to this apartment again 😊

Perfect stay in a perfect place!

This was our 12th or 13th stay in Arc 1950, and it was one of the nicest apartments we’ve had. A very spacious living with a perfect view of the village. Because there was so much snow and wind, all the lifts closed for a whole day, and it was nice to be able to watch all the activity in the village from the warmth of the apartment.

As in all the apartments in the village, everything we needed was available (although some extra towels would have been nice). The new Nespresso machine contributed absolutely to the overall comfort, as did the big TV, Netflix and the good WiFi.

I hope the problems with the balconies will be solved very soon; during our stay the weather made it unnecessary to use it, but with better conditions it could be very nice to sit there!

Wonderful base for a mountain holiday

We had a wonderful family holiday recently at Prince de Cimes, Arc 1950. The apartment was spacious yet cosy; a well-equipped and comfortable base for your mountain holiday, including that holy grail - decent beds. Access to the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna was a big plus. The resort has everything you could possibly need; a well-stocked supermarket, with daily fresh bread, a choice of restaurants and shops and an entertainment programme to suit all tastes and ages. The resort was well connected by free transport to it's sister sites with free buses to Arcs 1600 and 1800 and a short-hop cable car up to Arc 2000. A fantastic base amongst the mountains, however you might enjoy them. Oh, and enjoying the mesmerising views of Mont Blanc at sunset, glass in hand, was pretty enchanting too...

Perfect family ski holiday.

We had a fabulous week at Richard apartment in les Arc 1950. The Prince De Cimes is perfectly set up for a family ski holidays and everyone in the residence was helpful and friendly. Prior to arriving Richard was very responsive to all our questions and helped us plan our stay. If you're looking for a great family ski holiday, look no further. James and family.
