Bedrooms 1

Space 1,500 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Panoramic ocean front views, steps to the beach. 1 bedroom w/ Luxury king bed

The Hale Le'a Le'a, which in Hawaiian means the “HOUSE OF GREAT PLEASURE”, resides beach front on the famous shoreline of North Shore Oahu.

Just steps to the beach and you'll be digging your toes in the sand and hopefully see a Honu or two, (our resident Hawaiian green sea turtles), bobbing in the the ocean. Our beach is serene and semi private, but if you prefer we are also close to all the world renowned North Shore beaches, such as Ali'i Beach, Chuns, Lonis, Waiamea Bay, Banzai Pipeline and Sunset beach.

Waialua is a wonderful and very centralized location. Just 2 miles to historic Haleiwa town. There you will find many unique boutique and surf shops. There is a wide array of restaurants, ranging from fresh local seafood, Thai food, Mexican food, “Kua Aina” for burgers and sandwiches, the food trucks that specialize in shrimp plates and don't forget Matsumoto's for a shaved ice.

The activities available are endless, from Scuba dives, deep sea fishing, Shark adventure tours, whale watching (seasonal), or rent surf boards, paddle boards, jet skis, kayaks or snorkel gear.

And a short drive to Dillingham Airport offers skydives, ultra light flight tours and glider rides. Mokuleia Beach, the Polo fields, horseback riding and Kaena Point are also nearby. And don't forget the Dole Pineapple Plantation, Waimea falls, the Polynesian Cultural Center and Turtle Bay.

Easy day trips to Pearl Harbor Memorial, Diamond Head Crater, Waikiki, Makapu'u Lighthouse, and shopping at the swap meet at Aloha Stadium.

And of coarse remember to just relax at Hale Le'a Le'a, the “HOUSE OF GREAT PLEASURE”. Listen to the sound of the surf and the trade winds blowing through the coconut palms with a Mai Tai in hand at sunset.

My wife and I decided to go to Oahu for a second honeymoon. this was the perfect place to stay, the views were incredible. The owners were out of town during our stay, and Jeanne was So helpful in giving us ideas of where to do the best snorkeling and hikes. We would not have changed a single thing about this stay it was Perfect.

Beautiful View & Very Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Thank you Dennis, Tyla and Andrea for your gracious hospitality. The home was just what we needed for a well-deserved get-away. The view on the semi-private beach was spectacular. Going to sleep with the waves lapping on the shore, then waking up to an immediate view of the ocean - WOW! Plus the nearby town and beaches were just what we prefer for a low key day of exploring and for meals out. The property itself is an older home. Some renovation has been done beautifully, while other features of the house are in need of an upgrade. The only thing that we weren't aware of in advance, is that there are other renters on the property. It wasn't an issue other than tight parking and contending for use of the washer/dryer one night. We would recommend this home for "middle age" couples like ourselves, needing a quiet break.

2nd Honeymoon- 25th Wedding anniversary. First timers to Oahu

  • 4 of 5

Visited 25 Nov thru 01 Dec, 2017

We booked this house for our 25 year anniversary. We read the prior reviews, so we booked with our eyes wide open. Knowing this house(beach front), was used as a home, not a hotel. We had great contact with both Dennis, Joann and Steve. We drove in from the airport, enjoying the beautiful drive to the house. The only issue which was addressed, while we were staying was the internet.

The house is perfect; its an older home, but its on the beach. We had perfect sleep, perfect morning's, then we left for the day to do our touring of the islands activities. When we came back at night, either before or at sunset or after sometimes, still perfect place, with a kitchen to either cook, chill or sit out on balcony and just relax, listening to the water. The bedroom has a great view(so the windows have no covering, undress in the bathroom or with lights off), and sounds of waves crashing were smoothing to us both for sleeping.

Thank you Dennis for allowing us and others to share your home. The Aloha spirit is found here.

We already have friends interested in your rental. We will be back as well.

To those who want a millionaire dollar house this isn't the house for you. If you want a millionaire dollar view and a full island experience, this house is for you.

The locals that we meet were helpful and we found places to visit that most visitors don't see, because they are not on the tourist list or maps. Which was perfect for us.

Relaxing, Quiet, Peaceful, Beautiful..

  • 5 of 5

What a spot, the view from every window is breathtaking. We walked along the sand to the northern point and found eight green turtles grazing in the rock pools, not to mention the daily visits from turtles as they passed by. The property is a short drive to Haleiwa and all that fun little town has to offer in the way of food trucks, restaurants, bars and little shops offering a huge variety of Hawaiian memorabilia and surf gear. While the beach out front was not really suitable for a swim during our stay, we did manage a dip in the shore break every morning. The property is extremely comfortable in every way not so you need to tread carefully for fear of breaking something.... comfortable! JoAnn the greeter is so helpful and unobtrusive, she made our stay even more enjoyable with tips for the best margaritas and places to shop in town!

Awesome beachfront view!

  • 5 of 5

The Home had everything we needed! JoAnn was awesome greeting us and giving us some ideas of where to go in the area (which we did)! The view from the living room and especially the bedroom were unbelievable! I woke up every morning to sound of the waves and opened my eyes the beatuiful ocean! The home is very spacious and comfortable, just what I was looking for! The only thing I missed was air was nice in the early morning or late evening but during the day the breeze wasn’t as strong so it was very hot in the house...thank god there are plenty of fans provided in the home! Overall, even with no air conditioning I would still stay there again! The location, space and the views from the home is just breathtaking!! Thank you sooooo much Dennis for allowing me to rent your place in paradise for the week, truly an unforgettable and wonderful vacation!! I hope to stay there again!! Mahalo
