About Chanlor Ray

My husband, Bill and I want to welcome you to our vacation home. We love the Pagosa area. I have been coming here for years with my family. Bill and I were high school sweethearts and when we reconnected at a reunion 16 years ago, we started vacationing here in Pagosa. There is something to do and enjoy all four seasons.

Chanlor Ray purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Chanlor Ray chose Southwest

The Pagosa Lakes Park area is beautiful, has many benefits through the recreation center. Our log home is nestled in pine and aspen trees. We can enjoy the lake, the golf course and the beautiful mountains. It is our anchor in the mountains. We provide a washer and dryer, dishwasher, plenty of linens, coffee and products, to at least get started. We keep a grill in the garage and also a little freezer for ice. We have Wi Fi and Direct TV, books and a few games. Something for all ages.

What makes this cabin unique

Our mountain log cabin has all the benefits of home but laid back and a total change of scene. It is a place to relax and renew, while enjoying the beauty of the majestic mountains. We can always find plenty of things to do right here in Pagosa, but If we decide to roam a little, there are plenty of day trips in this part of Colorado.

Pagosa Springs Cabin is ideal for a family of 5

  • 4 of 5

This cozy cabin is on a very large wooded lot, which was ideal for our family of 5, with 2 young boys that need lots of room to run and play. Very comfortable with nearly everything we needed. The only dissapointment was the gas grill...I had specifically asked about a fire pit or grill, and was told there was one stored in the garage. Unfortunately, we did not find propane for the grill, and it's way too much trouble for travelers to go and purchase a bottle.

Nice location, easy to get around in Pagosa Springs and elsewhere. We took 2 day trips to Durango for Mesa Verde and the Durango-Silverton steam train, so were not in the cabin much for those two days. The view of the lake was beautiful. Neighbors/other vacationers were very friendly while out walking or jogging.

Beautiful area that we would like to return to some day!

Owner's Response: Kathie, I am so sorry you didn't get my message on August 8th when you inquired about the grill. By now you may have seen my response. Our grill is a natural gas grill and plugs in easily to the gas supply on the back porch. That way, there is always gas for the grill. Hope everything else was great! Thank you for choosing our home for your vacation. Phoebe Key, Owner

This was a wonderful cabin for our visit to Pagosa Springs with our grandsons!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time to stay at this location, and it was wonderful for a second time. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking necessities and the bedrooms were spacious. For our grandsons, the yard was beautiful with so many trees as well as deer walking through!

The instructions were clear and worked well on our arrival so that we had immediate access. I highly recommend this location for anyone's next visit to Pagosa Springs.

Amazing time in Pagosa Springs

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect. We traveled with 4 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of room. The house is so nice it was hard to leave, but the slopes were calling! Decks in the front and back provided excellent places to hang out when we returned from Wolf Creek. The location is perfect and close to the best restaurants and ski rentals. Hope to return next year.

House is great and very roomy! The upstairs does get quite toasty in the evening with the heat rising. We gad to turn it down to 56 to sleep comfortably. Thankfully, the downstairs does heat back up fairly quickly. Our only complaint is the house sits on a hill in the front and the back driveway is also sloped pretty good. We were unable several days to get our vehicle either in the back drive or front. The plows didn't get to our street a couple of days and we weren't allowed to park on the street due to possible plowing. We left a day early due to the frustration of getting in and out. My recommendation for a winter stay is to have a 4-wheel drive for parking purposes. Other than that, it is wonderful and recommended.
