Arnold Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms 2 bathroom w mountain view

Our cozy Cabin sleeps 6 adults, and plenty of room for kids. The main floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bath, the upstairs loft has a queen and two twin beds with a half bath. There are two TV's, one down stairs and another in the loft both w DVD player and a bunch of movies. There are also games, kids toys, books and video games. The cabin has dishwasher, and washer/dryer in unit.

This Cabin has brought our family many wonderful memories. We enjoy lounging at the lakes in the summer. There is great kayak rentals at Lake Alpine, a beautiful lake lined with granite boulders. There are also many small lakes in the area, a few of them are White Pines, Blue Lake Springs, and Fly in Acres, all just a few miles away. We have also found access to beautiful swimming holes on the Stanislaus River. We have enjoyed fishing with our children at the small lakes, and boating and water sports in the big lake “New Melones.” We have gone wine tasting and seen summer concerts at Ironstone vineyards in the charming old town of Murphy's. Murphy's offers great dining and shopping as well. Big Trees State Park just a few miles up Highway 4 has some amazing sites to see too, giant sequoias, hiking trails, access the the river and a snow shoe tour (with warming hut and coco) in the winter. As for meals, there is a grocery store close by called Big Trees Market. There is a variety of restaurants in town. If you are in the mood for dining out, taking home or even delivery. Our personal favorite is Sarafina’s. Also keep in mind you can refill your growler at the local Snowshoe Brewery.

In the winter, our favorite things to do is play in the snow! It is really great to be on a court, away from traffic. The kids and adults all have a blast sledding and building snowmen! Feel free to use our sleds. We go skiing/snowboarding at Bear Valley Ski Resort, there are also snow parks close to Bear Valley. Some other attractions are the Moaning Caverns and the Arnold Rim Trail which is good for hiking and biking. We have family members that enjoy dirt bike riding, off roading, hunting small game, and recreational shooting. The Ebbetts Pass Sporting Goods store has fire trail maps and a very knowledgeable staff to get you headed in the right direction. There is often summer concerts and street festivals in town. We personally love taking our kids to the movies under the stars at Blue Lake Springs rec. area. People bring chairs even sleeping bags to the open air theater:) They sell pop corn and candy! We have also enjoyed family water polo competitions at the pool, story times under the tree, and kids fishing derbies all located at the Blue Lake Springs Rec. Center, aka “Snow Flake Lodge”. They also offer frisbee golf, basketball, and tennis. You can rent noodles and buy rafts to float the lake. There is a snack bar and restaurant to make for a "no packing" type of day! If you are a golfer, Forest Meadows is a beautiful golf course nestled in the trees located in Murphy’s and open to the public.

Clearly, there is endless amounts of things to do year round for families, couples, and retires. However, sometime's all you need to do is unwind. Curling up by the fire or relaxing in the hammock makes for the best moments of all. The view of the trees combined with the fresh air is so peaceful. Stargazing from the deck with a glass of wine … amazing! Either way, relaxing or adventurous, our cabin has provided our family with some of the best memories. We want to share this with you! We hope this helps you plan your trip.

Enjoyed our stay

  • 4 of 5

We just returned from our stay at the cabin and had a wonderful time. We are a family with 4 kids, and there was plenty of room for them to spread out and have fun. They enjoyed the owner's collection of movies, playing the Wii, some of the toys available, and the hammock outside. I really appreciated that the cabin was comfortable and very child-friendly. I did not have to worry constantly that the kids might break something, which was a huge relief! The cabin had everything that we needed to cook our own meals. It is also a great location from which to explore the area. My only note of caution is that the cabin does not have AC. This is probably normal for that area, but our trip coincided with a heat wave (100+ temperatures), and it took awhile for us to cool the place down at night. The kids didn't seem to mind, though, so we just channeled our inner pioneer spirits and got creative! We would definitely consider staying here again!!

Great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a great spot for a getaway! The HOA amenities are fantastic and family friendly. We took our 15 month old with us and he loved the games in the house and the nearby beach and pool.

Perfect getaway to the snow with toddlers

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in the cabin in Arnold. We have young kids, so I loved that the house was totally toddler friendly and it allowed all of us to have a relaxing stay. Annie was so helpful and went above and beyond both before and after our trip to help accommodate. We left a phone in the cabin and she ensured we got it back, such great owners!

Great family home with TONS to do in the area

  • 5 of 5

Swimming at awesome club pool and lake with forest views, free fishing at nearby lake, and hiking to view the Big Sequoia trees...What more can you ask for? The house itself has the perfect layout with kitchen that opens to dining and living room with great views of the trees outside. Our girls enjoyed exploring and playing around the property and we felt fine letting them explore on their own since the house sits high up and away from the street.

My husband, myself, as well as our daughter and her husband and our two grandchildren went to Arnold for a wedding and stayed at this enchanted cabin. All the accomodations were perfect. Everything was ready for us to begin a wonderful weekend. The balcony looks out onto all the redwood trees and seem to call out to you. The hammock outside in between 2 very talls trees was a highlight for me. We wrapped ourselves in our blankets morning and night and made wishes and dreams and sent light and blessings out to all who stay here.

Great Escape

  • 5 of 5

Very kid friendly! Lots of stuff to do in the area. It does get a bit toasty since there is no a/c but there are a couple of fans. Overall, a nice rental.
