About Owner/ Manager
My father and I built the cabin in 1982 by ourselves with logs we helped cut at a friends sawmill. In 1990 we built the garage, this time hiring someone with a portable sawmill to come in and cut the logs we had prepared. In 2009, I took over the cabin from my parents and built on an addition, adding 2 bedrooms and a second bathroom. It is my primary residence now, but my job takes me to various places around the country for years at a time. It's a shame for such a peaceful, beautiful place to sit empty so I have chosen to rent it out during the summer each year until I can return to retire here.

Not as clean as could be
We stayed at the cabin during the winter. It was obvious from all the mouse droppings on the beds and floors that they had not cleaned before we arrived. I understand mice come inside during the winter, but don’t understand the lack of cleaning. I would not suggest this cabin as a place to stay for the Birkie.
Our party used this cabin for the opening weekend of the Wisconsin Firearm deer season. Due to a hospitalized child, some our plans changed and only two members of our party were able to make the trip. The owners were very generous and accommodating to our change of plans.
We had everything we needed for a weekend of hunting at this cabin. No complaints!
Comfortable and quiet
Place was perfect for us. My extended family was in town for my sister’s wedding and we all stayed together in the cabin and DIDN’T EVEN FIGHT. It was a miracle. We took out every boat at least once. We sat on the porch every morning with our coffee: a great way to start the day. Plenty of room for all and they had everything we could have needed. I overpacked, actually. My dog loved it the most. I think she thought it was her new home. She did not want to leave. We’ll be back!
Nice Property with some issues
First impression of the property leaves a little to be desired. The owner needs to clean up some of the junk around the property. Some little things like new covers on the porch chairs would be nice along with some nicer grills.
After we got settled in it ended up being a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed the lake, the pontoon, canoe and kayak. The grand kids had fun fishing from the dock and the pontoon. The location being on the channel between the two lakes is very scenic and much more quiet than being on the lake. Over all we had a good time and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Terrbile experience with the owner.
The house wasnt up to code to be renting out. There were no rails on the steps, there are elrctrical wires running on the walls, pics arent updated also the pontoon boat was junk it was ready to sink. The owner didnt return my deposit, he made a punch of false accustaions about my group. I summitted all of the pictures to homeaway and spent hours on the phone with them to be told lies. I wouldnt stay here ever or recommend it. I will also never use homeaway again.
Had a great time
We had a fantastic time at this cabin. The boat can't hold more than about 5 people and there isn't much for grass, but it's scenic, remote and comfortable. We'd love to come back.
