Property was as expected.
The cabin was clean, with comfortable beds. The creek was the main attraction for our kids - given the time of year it was running fast and cold but they did some wading. I recommend bringing fishing poles - we didn't catch anything but the kids enjoyed trying. Hot tub was enjoyable as well. Access to the Smokey Mountains National Park - a few trails are within a 10 minute drive, the main entrance and majority of popular trails are 1 -1.5 hours drive, through Gatlinburg. As noted in other reviews, the cabin is quite close to several neighbors, including directly across the creek. However, the neighborhood is very quiet and our family was definitely the most active that we saw.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay!
We regret that you drove over a. hour to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as there are four major entrances 30 minutes or less from the cabin:
Cosby entrance - 10 minutes
Big Creek entrance - 20 minutes
Greenbrier entrance - 20 minutes
Gatlinburg entrance - 30 minutes
There are spectators hikes and scenery at each of these entrances!

Love the cabin. It was clean and felt like home.
We had a great stay at this cabin. It was plenty big enough for the six of us. Loved sitting on the porch listening to the creek. The only things that I did not like was how far away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge the cabin was. It took almost an hour to get to either one. Also need to update the kitchen cook ware, need at least a none stick skillet. Over all stay was great. The beds where comfortable so where the furniture in the living room. Loved the wood fireplace.
Thank you for your feedback. Pigeon Forge is 22 miles from the cabin via 339, and Gatlinburg is 21 miles from the cabin via 321.
Both are generally a 25-30 minute drive under normal traffic conditions.
Please come back again soon !
Great Family Getaway
Absolutely loved the location, no hustle and bustle, extremely quite neighborhood, at least untill the grandchildren went outside. Only 7 miles or so away from Newton if you need to shop and avoid the BIG cities, Apple Orchard and restaurant is just up the road. Huge front yard for the children to run and play. Fencing in the backyard to ensure safety from the creek. Hot tub was a hit since the water in the creek was so cold. The only thing to keep in mind is very limited children channels but if you're like us we we're on the go all day everyday. Awesome place and placed on our visit again list.
Loved that creek. So peaceful . I do have one suggestion lounge chairs on that back porch we could have stayed out there all day. Only rockers and they needed some tlc coming into area we were thinking maybe this is not the place for two women alone but there were neighbors and they were super nice
The cabin was better than expected! It was clean, had cabinets stocked full of kitchen items (I brought a griddle, but there was one in cabin). There were extra blankets, pillows, games and a puzzle we all put together and even an additional fan. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and it was the perfect size. The kids loved the loft.
We had rented the cabin in hopes the kids could play in the creek. It was ok for the bigger kids, but a bit too swift for the 3 yr olds. Luckily, it had a hot tub that they lived in all week.
The location was good. Yes, there are houses on either side and I was apprehensive when I first rented, but we saw the 1 neighbor a couple times and he offered us firewood and the other neighbor once when the kids saw their dog. It was super quiet and we never once were bothered by anyone else. I'm sure my kids were the loudest around.
I would definitely recommend this cabin.
Very nice and relaxing
The cabin was very nice and clean. Our family had a fun time playing in the river.
