This charming one-bedroom, 760 sq. ft. cottage is situated on a residential block conveniently located within Savannah's Landmark Historic District. Just a block away from historic Whitefield Square, the property is within easy walking distance from all the historic downtown amenities and attractions including River Street and Forsyth Park.

While cozy, the home includes not only a living room, but also a separate dining room. The kitchen, with granite top and full-sized appliances, is small but has every amenity to prepare a large meal.

With one bedroom and one bathroom, it can accommodate up to 4 guests, due to the sofa sleeper in the living room. A pack and play can be provided for the wee ones upon request.

The cottage boasts plenty of outdoor space to enjoy including its private courtyard, as well as seating on the back and front deck seating areas.

Wi-Fi is free, along with cable television in both the living and bedrooms. NEW AMAZON FIRE STICK IN LIVING ROOM AND BEDROOM ALLOWS GUESTS TO VIEW ALL TV SERIES EPISODES AND MOVIES INCLUDED IN AMAZON PRIME. Washer and Dryer are provided in the laundry closet off the back deck.

On street parking is plentiful and free.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We could not have asked for anything more in visiting Savannah for the first time. The home was beautiful and cozy...we did not want to leave! We will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the near future. Patricia was more than accommodating to all of our needs.

The property absolutely was charming. Perfect for my husband, myself and the dog!

The check in process was easy and I enjoyed the combination code on the door so I didn't have to worry about a key. The owner is local and referred us to some great breakfast spots. The owner was also extremely quick to respond and resolve a concern that I had. We found street parking right out front of the house the entire time of our stay (Friday-Tuesday). The location was also perfect. It was close enough that we were able to walk to Forsyth Park and down to the river front area, however it is off the path of the tours so the street was quiet. Our dog with hip dysplasia had no trouble getting around with us! I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving stay in Savannah and the cottage made it that much more special! We were walking distance from all of the places we went to and each street we ventured down was better then the next!

This property is one I would return to. It was just the right for our visit to Savannah. The location makes everything within walking distance. We were in town to run a half marathon. The property was between the start and finish. The property itself was very clean and well furnished. There is adequate parking on the street in from of the cottage. Really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Location and comfortable

The flat is very well taken care and a throw back to historic homes in Savannah. The location is great and not to far from a great coffee shop and a Kroger within walking or biking distance. The flat is right in the historic district so you can walk to everything. We always take our bikes because we get to cover more ground and it's just great riding a bike in and around the historic district. The neighbors are all very pleasant and social so it made our stay feel right at home. I will definitely stay again as we did not need for anything at all. If you do go keep in mind that on Halloween weekend there is a parade on Saturday morning but hey it was Halloween weekend so for us it was really no biggie.

Very nice cottage. However...

Very nice cottage. However, the location was not what we expected. Most walks to the major points of interest were at least 30 minutes long, so we used our car more than we had planned to.

Cleanliness? My wife (who is not at all allergic to anything) sneezed constantly throughout our stay. I eventually figured out that this was due to excessive dust accumulation in the kitchen’s ceiling fan blades. I was going to clean it myself but could not find a ladder. The back garden was very nice but the seats on the "bistro" were extremely filthy as well as the table. It wasn't the most pleasant place to sit down and have a coffee but we made the best of it.. Other than that, the cottage was very clean overall.

Also, because Hurricane Matthew unexpectedly veered west (approaching our home in Florida), we were forced to check out prior to our original check-out date. Before checking out early, however, we respectfully requested some consideration (a refund for the unused portion of our stay) but we immediately received a response citing the contract stipulations (which only provides for refunds when there is an evacuation of Savannah only). So much for empathy. They did, however, offer a complimentary night if we book the cottage again within the next 12 months. However, I think they know that repeat business is highly unlikely.

So, in a nutshell… not-so-good location, lots of sneezing and no refund for an emergency early checkout…

Owner's Response: The cottage is located within Savannah's Landmark Historic District and is generally walkable to its amenities and sights. At least one tour company sends its trolley directly in front of the cottage. The District is one square mile in area and so even the furthest destination is only about a 20 minute walk from the cottage. As to the bistro set. Sometimes, based on weather conditions (particularly during stormy conditions) it is difficult to make sure outside furniture remains clean after the cleaning crew has departed. The ceiling fan was recently dusted and I am sorry the guest did not advise me of this issue during their stay so it could have been addressed. As to refund after the commencement of the stay, we urge guests to be aware of our cancellation policy and to purchase travel insurance to cover their stay if they desire refund that doesn't fit within that policy. As stated in the review, we did offer a replacement night in lieu of refund. Having said all this, I take pride in customer service. I am available almost 24/7 to address issues and strive to make sure every guest has a great stay. I am sorry this guest was less than fully satisfied.
