About Ellen Haley

Jim and Ellen Haley, purchased the property in 2014. Ellen's parents live in the home next door, and can recommend great restarants, and golf courses.

Ellen Haley purchased this estate in 2014

Why Ellen Haley chose Auburn

Having his own baseball field was Jim's "field of dreams" .He is an avid baseball fan and coach. Ellen on the other hand was drawn to owning a beautiful vineyard, and loved the spectacular (warm water) lake, and walking paths thru the woods.

What makes this estate unique

The morning sunrise over the lake is spectacular, and the sunset over the fields is simply breathtaking. We love walking thru the fields, quite often seeing deer!! The lake water is warm and truly inviting, we love to sit in a tube and float for hours.

Beautiful, Relaxing and Special Spot.

  • 5 of 5

What a spectacular spot this is. The house is large and comfortable and so welcoming. The large front porch is the most inviting spot with a gorgeous view. It really is hard to appreciate how special it is here until you actually arrive. You feel your cares melt away-the air is fragrant from the grapevines and the view is almost dreamlike. The home is surrounded by farmland and lake on all sides and it offers a panoramic view of the boating on the lake. The owners have provided all the comforts of home-some really thoughtful touches like hairdryer, family games, well furnished kitchen etc. We definitely plan on going back. There is so much more exploring to do in this area.

Wonderful family week on Owasco lake.

  • 5 of 5

The house has beautiful views of Owasco lake! There are plenty of rooms for a large family to enjoy. The kitchen was great and we enjoyed many family meals there. We had a great view of fireworks for the 4th of July. We had a boat and found the lake to be quiet and great for tubing and fishing. Auburn was close and shopping was easy and convenient.

Perfect house for family gathering

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter was graduating from Cornell and we needed a place where three generations of family could gather to celebrate. This house was PERFECT!

We loved the beautiful views and the spacious bedrooms and living space. The kitchen was great for preparing meals and there is a Wegmans Market just a few miles away! If cooking is not your thing the town of Auburn has plenty of options for dining. We would definitely recommend this property!

Perfect lakeside getaway with everything you could ask for!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect way to spend a beautiful Labor Day weekend on Owasco Lake! This place has everything from a vineyard in the front yard overlooking the lake, to several spacious bedrooms, a beautifully remodeled kitchen, living room and dining room, and huge decks on the front and back of the house that were great to relax on. We even enjoyed a glass of wine in the cupola where we could take in the spectacular view. It was only a short ride into Auburn or Skaneateles to enjoy great restaurants and shopping as well. The only thing that would have made this a better trip was being able to stay longer!

Perfect Stay at a Perfect Family Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Had all our children and grandchildren in town to celebrate a Family Reunion, and could not have picked a better vacation home on beautiful Owasco Lake. This beautifully restored home was the perfect backdrop for making family memories that will last a lifetime. The finishes and furnishings are all first class and the grounds and views of the Lake are breathtaking. The Owners were wonderful to work with and helped make our experience trouble-free. The views of the Lake from the huge front porch are not to be missed!

Calming get away

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here and just loved the place. The views are amazing. We started each morning with a steaming cup of coffee and just soaked in the scenery. The house is perfect for family vacation or couples. Great kitchen but there are also super restaurants and shopping nearby. We can't wait to go back
