About Lynette and Ken Murray
We (Ken and Lynette) have lived in our original home here on the 1.25 acre property for over 22 years. Our home is on the other end of the property to ensure your privacy and to be on hand if you need anything. Ken is a 3rd generation horticulturalist with ties to the Sunshine Coast since childhood. His Father purchased a 40 acre tree farm here in Sechelt in 1974, which is now owned by The Sunshine Coast Botanical Society and is a 15 minute drive away. We decided to move our large house up to Sechelt from Richmond BC in 1997, so it was put on a barge and brought up here through the Skookumchuck Narrows, up to the beach here in Porpoise Bay. We decided to put the cottage on the upper half of our property in 2011, and now we would love to share this beautiful area for others to enjoy.

Why Lynette and Ken Murray chose East Porpoise Bay
https://goo.gl/maps/USzwRfGyLn2ELvH86 3 min. drive to the Village of Sechelt. We are right below The Coast Gravity Park, https://www.coastgravitypark.ca https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attractions-g499146-Activities-Sechelt_Sunshine_Coast_British_Columbia.html Walking distance to Willow Point and 15-20 min walk to Porpoise Bay Park and Angus Creek....https://youtu.be/6DDDnRoxZK8 A few places close to us where you can launch boats or Kayaks. Launch small boats and canoes at Willow Point. Drive just around the corner, down Burnett dr. or walk the 3-4 mins. if it's a kayak or canoe. It is calmest on our end of Porpoise Bay and up to Tuwanek beach just past the area of Tuwanek. This of course all depends on the winds. Sometimes this end of the inlet is like glass, especially early in the morning. You can also launch just before Tuwanek at Sandy Hook just a few k up our road (Sechelt Inlet Rd.). link with map. http://www.sechelt.ca/Portals/0/public%20document%20library/Parks/Sandy%20Hook%20Park%20Info.pdf?ver=2011-05-03-164508-853 I know people rent Kayaks from Tuwanek area or launch their own and paddle up to the many marine parks just before Salmon inlet. Here is another link to a boat launch, however they do have a charge to launch. https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Tillicum+Bay+Marina+Incemail@example.com,-

Great family getaway
We had a great time exploring nearby sechelt and local parks and pump tracks with our two young kids (3 and 5). The cottage was a great fit, rustic feel but cozy and had everything we needed. The outdoor space was great for hanging out and letting the kids play as well. We will definitely try to book again.
Summer vacation in Sechelt
We enjoyed our time at the cabin, the location was perfect for exploring the Sunshine Coast. The cabin was incredibly clean and well stocked although missing a few minor items (we had to buy wine glasses and there were no serving bowls). A bit of updating to the living room furniture would be positive . As stated by others the road was noisy at times but we got used to it. The listing mentioned a shared pool but we never saw nor were told about one? It would be nice to have the bbq updated as it was quite small and heat was minimal making it tricky to feed 7 people. Overall we enjoyed it.
East Porpoise Bay cabin
We enjoyed our stay. Cabin is well equipped to cover our needs. Cosy rooms, nice location close to beach.
Conveniently located, close to amenities and beach. Busy road nearby, worrisome with small children and pets. Overall, it's comfortable with most of the modern conveniences. Enjoyed our stay.
Nestled in the woods
A wonderful cottage with all the amenities and a 5 minute walk to beautiful Porpoise Bay. Water was great for swimming especially enjoyed by our Golden Doodle Sam. Looking forward to next year .
Lovely woodsy surroundings
Large cottage with all amenities, only thing missing was a dishwasher, easy check in, owners were very accommodating and got back to us right away and made suggestions for day trip. Very clean. Furniture could use an update as the sofa bed was broken. Otherwise a great rental!!
We are located at 6283 Sechelt Inlet Rd. Sechelt B.C.
The Cottage is near the beach with Forest and garden views.
Sechelt Inlet is surrounded on both sides by land therefore Porpoise Bay has some of the warmest Summer weather on the Sunshine Coast. Walking distance to Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. Close to Coast Gravity Park.
