Nice stay; could use some upgrades.
Miami Beach is a beautiful place. This property is one of the units of Seacoast Suites. Our unit was listed as sleeping eight and as an oceanfront. This was accurately deceiving. The oceanview was best seen from the interior living area. The balcony view is the balconies of the neighboring resort. The master suite did not have a mirror or television and there were only plates and glasses in the kitchen. We were surprised by this!
The A/C unit needs major upgrades. The only settings are on and off; which equates to Antarctica and Hell.
The private beach and pool area was nice, I suppose that covered the $114.00 resort fee. A staff member, in charge of lounge chairs was quite rude and questioned our "common sense" regarding moving of the chairs past an "invisible" resort boundary.
Overall, our party of 7 had a great time, but Seacoast could definitely use some upgrades.
Nice but dissapointed
The staff at Seaoast were so helpful and tried to make our stay a safe enjoyable as possible after everything seemed to go wrong. When we arrived we heard this loud hum of a temporary outdoor air conditioning for the large building outside our window, this kept my husband up all night and we later got moved to a room further away from it. The second day we went down to the pool deck to find out the fountain and pool were drained and closed. These issues were all temporary but still very inconvenient. If the owner would have let us know about all of these problems prior to booking we would not have booked this property. Thank you to the staff for making our stay bearable regardless of the large inconveniences we were blind sided by.
My stay was awesome great room great staff I look forward to coming back I would recommend this property to all my friends and family!!! Thanks for such a wonderful time
The condo/apartment was beautiful! Great view from the balcony. The staff was very helpful.
A few things that bothered me : only valet parking, $25 a day. Street metered parking was a few blocks away. In that heat, that wasn't an option. The condo can accommodate up to eight people. The staff never gave us the correct amount of towels. We always had to call for more towels. In fairness, they brought the towels within a few minutes. Didn't they know how many occupants there were? Valet parking at time was a little hectic. The brought me the wrong vehicle several times. I was charged a resort fee, why wasn't it included in the price I paid ? For the reasons stated above , four stars.
Overall it was a good experience!
Condo was a little out of the way of South Beach but it was no more than a 10-15 min drive away... Condo was beautiful and well taken care of. Loved the view of downtown Miami from the balcony and waking up to thew view of the beach from our window in our bedroom... Definitely would consider staying here again next time I come back in town.
Seacoast is a bit out of the heart of South Beach (as advertised, on 51st St). Plan on $15-30 Uber rides to get to most restaurants. Eden Roc & Fontainebleau are walking distance. Unit was clean and bedrooms were spacious. Could use more bathroom space if you bring 6-8 people. Few mirrors. Only real complaint is the property lobby interior, grounds and pool area. Needs major clean-up and renovations. Pool is small, chairs old, landscaping overgrown. Market downstairs has coffee for $2 compared to the $8 coffees you find at other hotels. Bring some coffee with you - coffee maker in unit. Also, unit comes with nothing but hand & body soap bars - no dish washing detergent, etc. - would be nice if small package of those necessities came with unit. Nothing in kitchen except for some utensils, wine glasses & mugs (no plates, bowls, etc. for cooking in - which was fine for us). Overall, we made it work for the 6 people in our group - and cost less then getting hotel rooms a few blocks down. Luckily we had friends staying at hotels with much better pools and beach access.
Last thing, there is a $25/day resort fee that we did not know about and is required when you stay at Seacoast as well s $25/day to park your car.
