Adorable, Quaint Cottage
Lisa was a wonderful host. Great communication and on top of getting back to me on questions. Her thorough instructions made settling in a very easy experience.
The cottage itself was perfect for me and my dog during our week long stay. It was very well kept, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, and a wonderful shared space in the back with a fire pit. The bed was very comfortable and the space was comfortable. I'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a tucked away retreat that's close to all the action of South Congress and Riverside trails.
Cheaper than Hotel Room, Everything You Need Here
I was in a bit of a bind when I booked this cottage. My other VRBO did not work out, it was my honeymoon, and I had no place to stay in Austin! But the owner responded quickly and was very helpful. Considering the price of hotels in Austin is rather expensive, I felt I was getting a very good deal with the ability to cook, to boot. Location is great--just an Uber ride away from great restaurants and shops in an established, quiet neighborhood. We found this guest cottage to be quiet, comfortable, and most of all, CLEAN. There is a large house in front of this one (which was thankfully vacant), so I also felt I had enough privacy. My only suggestion to the owner would be to add bed sheets that are a natural fiber, like cotton ... the current sheets are quite hot. Everything else was great and I appreciated that the owner was easy to work with. Thank you!!
Lisa’s property is even more luxurious than the photos, and she is just a Doll! I traveled to Austin for a mother/daughter weekend and had a wonderful time! Location, location, location! Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend, and playing with Bella the Laberdoodle was a Bonus!
As described. Clean. Set up well.
Great neighborhood. Centrally located. Great experience. Owner very cordial and responsive.
Adorable cottage centrally located to everything in Austin!
Location: the cottage is in a quaint quiet neighborhood only a short walk to South Congress street. We were able to walk, ride bikes or take a short Lyft ride anywhere. If you’re coming to Austin make sure you use the city’s bike system: B- cycle. It’s totally worth it.
Amenities: perfect for a couple. Comfortable bed and furnishings. Very clean (and this comes from a clean freak). Everything you need is right there. The owner Lisa is amazing! She made sure we felt right at home and even picked up firewood so we could enjoy the fire pit. The only thing that might be a negative is the television is not hooked up to cable so only Netflix is available. That was no issue for us. Who wants to watch television when it’s 75 degrees, sunny, and there is an amazing city to explore?!
Great Spot for ACL Festival!
This cottage was close distance to South Congress Ave., giving us easy access to great shops and restaurants. The neighborhood was very nice, and was a good escape from the bustle of the other areas surrounding the festival grounds. The listing did share that there would be 2 bathrooms, however, there is just one full bathroom in the cottage. Overall, this was a good spot to come back after a long day at the festival and had all the necessary amenities.
