amazing 1st girls holiday

we choose albufeira as our first girls holiday cause we wanted that chill by the pool and beach sort of day time and the let your hair down have fun kind of night time which is just what we got! This apartment and complex made the holiday 10 times better we felt safe and close to everything! the staff of algarvegetaways which is who we booked threw were very helpful to the pint where nothing seemed to be a hassle. The apartment was alot bigger in person! there was so much room and it was very clean! cleaners came in throughout the 10 days we were there to clean and change the towels and bedding! this complex is 5-15min walking distance to everything, the strip the shops the beach and soooo many resturants including this amazing tex-mex place which we went too almost everyday! we will be back!!

First class apartment and service

We have stayed in Parque da Cocovada for the last 5 years and this time was our first time in Block 43. In previous years we have stayed at Blocks 36 and 37 but this year decided to stay in Block 43 as we had noticed the pool area in 43 has more sun time in comparison to 36 and 37.

As these are private apartments they are usually let directly by the owners and it is the owners you deal with throughout the booking process and then when you arrive on location you deal with the owners friends/local contact. This has been my experience in the previous 4 years and not always a good experience.

This year was different as this apartment is let by Algarve Getaways, a property management business, and these are the people you deal with during the booking process and on location. It was very reassuring to see every member of their team with branded uniforms and vehicles; it just gave a more professional feeling to our booking.

Everyone we dealt with from Algarve Getaways was very polite, when we arrived we noticed a small water leak from the air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms, it wasn’t a problem for us but I informed them so at least they knew about it. A couple of days later a company rep with 2 workmen arrived to fix the air conditioner – a little dust was created during the repair and fresh sheets were called for and arrived in minutes. Quite impressive compared to my previous experiences. Last year, dealing directly with an owner, our air conditioning didn’t work in the whole apartment for 10 days in August – the solution during our stay was 1 desktop fan. So I can’t tell you enough how pleasant, refreshing and comforting it has been to deal with a professional company.

During our stay we had booked the wifi which was great, the signal even reached the poolside. Our towels were changed midweek and towels and bedding changed at the end of the first week as well as the apartment cleaned. We also had our airport transfers arranged for us and, as it was possible, we booked to stay a little longer in the apartment up to the time of our transfer back to the airport.

The apartment is similar to all other apartments we have stayed in and has a very similar layout to the penthouse apartment we had last year. Out of the past 5 years this apartment is the best we have booked, I will not hesitate to recommend this apartment and Algarve Getaways to my friends and work colleagues.

PARQUE DA CORCOVADA is a quiet residential complex, POPULAR for self-catering holiday rentals as it is just off the main street of Albufeira, in CLOSE PROXIMITY to The Strip, restaurants, nightclubs, bars, Bullring, supermarkets, shops and beach.

MANY WATER-SPORTS can be enjoyed from OURA BEACH, FISHERMAN’S BEACH or ALBUFEIRA MARINA, such as water-skiing, parasailing, scuba-diving, cruises, jet-skiing, dolphin watching, cave exploring, deep-sea fishing and sailing.

ALBUFEIRA is located in the CENTRAL ALGARVE and is perfectly placed for visiting many top attractions, with buses to theme parks stopping near PARQUE DA CORCOVADA.

Popular WATER-PARKS include Slide & Splash and Aqualand and ZOOMARINE, the wonderful aqua-theme park with its dolphin interaction program, is a must for the whole family.

A well-stocked SUPERMARKET is located less than 5 minutes’ walk from PARQUE DA CORCOVADA.

THE BUS STOP is right outside Parque da Corcovada, with buses running every 30 minutes, all day and most of the night.

THE TOURIST TRAIN does a circular route every 20 minutes to The Strip, Oura Beach, the Old Town and Fisherman's Beach and Albufeira Shopping.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS can be arranged by us at a total one-way price of €32 for 1 - 4 guests and €42 for 5 - 8 guests. FREE WIFI on all vehicles.

CAR HIRE: use the car rental search engine on ALGARVE GETAWAYS to find the most competitive rates.

PARKING IS FREELY AVAILABLE outside the apartments.

ALGARVE SHOPPING, the main shopping centre of the Central Algarve runs a FREE bus service to and from Albufeira, between March and October.

SIR CLIFF RICHARD’S VINEYARD, Adega do Cantor; and Portugal’s famous CHICKEN PIRI-PIRI RESTAURANTS, are all located in Guia, just 10 minutes’ drive away.

PARQUE DA CORCOVADA is also perfectly situated for GOLFERS with Balaia golf course less than a 5 minute drive away and the Sheraton Pine Cliffs, the world class golf courses of Vilamoura and Salgados golf course on the western side of Albufeira, an easy 10 minute drive away.

We also HIRE out GOLF CLUBS and can arrange GOLF TRANSFERS.

CHEAP FLIGHTS can be booked to FARO AIRPORT. See the ALGARVE GETAWAYS ‘Links Page’ for links to numerous airlines.

You can also fly to LISBON or SEVILLE, both 2 hours away by car. There is a regular BUS SERVICE from both cities, as well as an excellent TRAIN SERVICE from Lisbon to Albufeira (Ferreiras).
