About Nicole Fisher
Peter and Nicole Fisher are residents of Salt Lake City, but have also lived in Moab, St. George, Provo, Boston, Massachusetts and Ann Arbor, Michigan. They love the outdoors, skiing, boating, hiking, biking and sharing those activities with their 4 children.
Nicole Fisher purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Nicole Fisher chose Duck Creek Village
The Fisher's chose to purchase a cabin in Duck Creek after visiting with friends who also own a cabin in Duck Creek Pines. Their parents owned a home in Springdale, near Zions National Park. When their parents decided to downsize and move back to Salt Lake, Peter and Nicole knew they wanted a place somewhere in southern Utah to enjoy their favorite place. Duck Creek feels like you're in Jackson Hole or Oregon, but is central to incredible southern Utah's splendid rustic beauty.
What makes this Cabin unique
What especially drew the Fisher's to the Welcome Lodge (named after Nicole's grandfather, Lawrence Welcome Fountaine, originally Fontaine-Bienvenu), was the peaceful setting surrounded by serene pine trees and the incredible outdoor spaces the cabin provided included gracious decks and patios.

Picture Perfect Cabin
Straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie, this incredible cabin far surpassed our expectations and hopes for a New Year’s getaway. Every detail of comfort was accessible to our family of eight. Spacious, pristine, and cozy, we enjoyed an incredibly restful retreat from hectic lives. Tastefully decorated for the Christmas holiday, we celebrated two birthdays, a sweet marriage proposal and rang in the New Year. Magnificent fires, thick comforters, deep soak tub, large bright windows and a professional kitchen gave us the experience we were longing for. The owner was incredibly accommodating and kind. The Welcome Cabin provided the perfect accommodations and backdrop for our most precious family vacation ever.
Loved the Welcom Lodge!!
Stayed here over Thanksgiving week and our family had such a great time. Home is very well cared for and has every amenity you could want on your stay. So much to do in the immediate area around house the possibilities are endless. Home owner was always very responsive for anything needed and made us feel so at home. I have been going up to Duck Creek Village over Thanksgiving for many years now and have stayed in many homes in the area and this is one of the best homes I have stayed in hands down!
Loved the cabin. Very well equipped kitchen. Great for families
Our Host Nicole was so responsive to any questions or requests we had. Clear directions... found the house in the dark! The home was immaculate and any and everything we needed in the kitchen was supplied... down to spices! Ample space, beautifully decorated... thank you for a wonderful week! It was just over an hour to Zion Park and just under an hour to Bryce. 180 miles of ATV trails surround the home.... I would highly recommend this property.
Outstanding accommodations for a family or friend trip.
The location was perfect for our trips to Bryce and Zion National Parks. Do not miss Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons in Page, AZ. The Welcome Lodge is beautifully nestled in the Dixie National Forrest and had everything and more we needed for our time there. We give it 10 stars and will return.
Although the pictures were impressive they didn't do justice to this property. Tastefully decorated, fully appointed and impeccably clean. Of the several VRBO properties we rented over the years this is on the top of the list.
Thank you for your kind review. We strive to create a great vacation experience for our guests and we're glad you appreciated our efforts!
The Welcome Lodge is a rustically elegant cabin set in a beautiful pine tree forest, but accessible to incredible southern Utah sites like Bryce and Zion National Parks, Cedar Breaks, Brian Head, and Dixie National Forest with ATV trails and mountain biking. Cedar City Shakespeare Festival is 30 minutes away. Incredibly breath-taking scenery in a fully equipped mountain home.
