This private cabin is located one-half mile from the main road and is the ideal get-a-way retreat for a cozy, relaxing get-a-way vacation for a couple or small family (up to 4 people max). The cabin is on 1/2 ac. and only 15 minutes (8 mi.) from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The North Fork of the Big Thompson River runs thru the middle of Glen Haven.

Glen Haven is surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest (designated wilderness area). This is a great spot to stage your hiking, photography, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, biking, or other outdoor activities within the great Rocky Mountains, or just relax. This cabin is 750 sq. ft. with one bedroom that includes a new queen size log bed with new mattress, new wood floors, 32" TV, comfy recliners, and futon. (Please, no smoking or pets. We love our pets and have several ourselves, but there are others who have allergies to pets).

Your hosts Ken and Marsha Hobert will meet you and show you to their wonderful hideaway.

About Marsha & Ken Hobert

We have lived in Glen Haven since 1981 and wouldn't live anywhere else. Glen Haven is a small, private community, outside of Estes Park.It is so beautiful and peaceful with the sound of the river at our doorstep. There are easy trails into the forest following the sound of the river along the way.

Marsha & Ken Hobert purchased this cabin in 1998

Why Marsha & Ken Hobert chose Front Range

We bought this property in 1998 as a year round rental property and we just turned it into a vacation rental as so many people who have stayed at our other property (VRBO #228250) wanted to know if we had another property with different amenities.

What makes this cabin unique

The best thing about the Glen is the sound of the river and the wonderful, private community. We look forward to personally showing you to the cabin for your relaxing visit. This property has more amenities than our other listing (#228250) with new wood floors, a new washer/dryer, dishwasher, new log bed with new queen mattress, 32" TV, and more. The cabin has wonderful, large windows facing South.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a must for those looking to get away from it all. Nestled in the mountains, it is a quiet and peaceful retreat that offers all the amenities you would expect from other accommodations. It serves as a wonderful launchpad for adventure into the surrounding wilderness, and the stunning views getting there will take your breath away. Ken and Marsha were very gracious hosts and the cabin was exactly as described. We absolutely loved our time there and would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Ken and Marsha!

Great natural beauty

  • 5 of 5

The place made us feel like a second home. We had planned to rest but the beauty of being at the steps of The Rockies was too much. We made easy day trips for exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park and environs with ease. Will love these memories for ever.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Ken and Marsha were both very friendly. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The perfect place to stay if you want to visit the rocky mountain national park but also want your own isolated place in the woods. We absolutely loved it. Thank you Ken and Marsha!

Glen Haven Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a joyful and restful time at this cute and cozy cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to make our trip a memorable one. We loved eating at Notchtop Bakery and Café, both visits were spectacular. Marsha and Ken were extremely nice and made us feel at home right away. It was our first time staying in Glen Haven but we plan on coming back hopefully sooner than later.
